In a world where someone recovers from a leg being amputated in a couple days, I am not surprised at all that someone is able to function with an eye being cut out after the same time period.

Didn't a long time elapse between Hershel losing his leg and him moving around on the crutches looking more healthy-ish and hairy? Well, supposedly sometime between Lori going from a little pregnant to full-on pregnant.

No, Lori was already days (week or two?) away I believe. She was 'full-on preggers' at the beginning of the season, Hershel lost his foot after the season started.

She's not a stunner but I could make do without the bag. I'm too old to be choosy.

I might be piling on here but i also can not stand the Andrea character either, the way she delivered that speech in the episode before last was down right laughable, sure the writing might not have been the greatest by talking about how history will remember them but she is just so annoying. She needs to just go away or be killed which i think it would be pretty hilarious if the Governor does Andrea in and then one of Tyreese, Michonne or Carl gets the opportunity to kill the Governor dead.
Although as much as i hate Andrea, i actually didn't mind the episode in its entirety. I thought it set up the story arch pretty well and it was sorta cool seeing Andrea reunited with the group and have them tell her a few things that had happened, it never occurred to me before that she didn't know about Shane being killed by Rick so that was cool. Really looking forward to the last five episodes of season three which so far has been a great season.

The WORST thing is that Andrea is one of the best characters in the book!!!!!!! Totally destroyed by the show.

I think the problem with Andrea's character (I'm not a fan either) is that she has such attitude, but she never really does anything. She just goes from one character to another, telling them how things should be done, and getting mad with the plans at hand. She's always one of the first to open her mouth and take issue, but she doesn't really stand up for anything herself or take any chances or risks. The 'leadership speech' perhaps being the only example.
Of course, there really are people like that in real life. A lot of them. So as far as realism goes, it probably stands.
Though for some reason, probably the writing, which does seem to be lazy in respects to several of the characters, her character doesn't seem complex enough. Very 2 dimensional. It's a lot easier to enjoy a character, in print or film, even if their characteristics would be annoying in real life, when they are believable. There are lots of 'stupid, evil, maddening' characters in fiction that are still fun to watch or read about because they are more believable. Or even if they are 2 dimensional, they perhaps bring some comedic relief to the story. Of course, the Andrea character doesn't do this either.
So we're left with an annoying moody character that isn't much fun to watch.

Plenty of time elapses between most episodes. Days, weeks, sometimes months. I am not sure how you convey that other than people healing up over the course of 1 or 2 episodes. How boring would it be if we had to sit through every tedious day.

As much as I agree with you, I have the impression they've only been at the prison for 3-4 weeks now. (I could by way off)

I have a feeling that it is going to Andrea that convinces Tyreese that Ricks group are the good guys just to make her look good.

Not sure about total elapsed time at the prison or since Glenn and Maggie were first captured by Merle, but in last week's episode Glenn mentioned to Andrea that the raid at Woodbury was only a few days ago.

I think the knife wielding naked Andrea was the turning point. Kill or be killed. She didnt kill the Governor when she had the chance so now for the be-killed part......

Remember how Merle said the Governor was going to kill everyone and make Rick watch? Andrea is #1 on the hit list.

So the governor is going to get the new group to kill Andrea, but Tyrese saves her, kills the honkys that are with them, and the 3 of them all go back to the prison gang.

agree i don't think the Governor was fully asleep just waiting to see what she would do.
Andrea is good as dead now.
That sucks that the small group of wanders met up and joined with the Governor's militant group.
I thought Rick's group would have gone into more detail letting Andrea know all the evil deeds the Governor has committed.
