Feel Good Stories so far this Season
Here are a couple of thoughts I had with regards to general feel good stories in the NHL so far this season:
- improved play of Stajan & Bouwmeester (note we would all love them more if thier salaries were reduced by about 38%)
- Nazam Kadri playing well for the LEafs (after being pretty much called a porker by Dallas Ekins), subplots - Leafs now playing with truculance now that Burke is gone, secondary subplot - I am sure glad they are on TV every Saturday night
- Montreal in first in the east
- El Sid remaining healthy and being close to top of the points race
- the Oilers currents having less points than the Flames
Anyone got some otehrs they want to share or discuss?

Ottawa continues to do well despite injuries to Karlsson, Spezza, Anderson. Gotta cheer for them just because of the mustache.

I bought a new flames Flames jersey when they were 50 percent off so I only wasted half my money... I kid I kid, I haven't been to a loosing game at the dome this year. I that's nice :-)

Stajan used to be my whipping boy but feel myself developing a soft spot for him, happy to see him improving.
Very happy with the good play of TJ.
And sort of a feel good story, Kipper going down with an injury did not result in us going down in Flames. Not completley anyways....

Montreal being first in the East is not a "feel good story" for me.

I don't count Bouwmeester as a feel good story. I know in my field performing far below my pay scale for multiple years would get me fired and performing just barely to expected level wouldn't elicit pats on the back.
As far as Stajan goes it's a little feel good in that I feel he got a little burried by Brent and this season Hartley has rewarded him for good play more than Brent who would move him up only to quickly move him down to 4th line if he had one bad game.

last nights game we fought through allot of negative circumstances and won the game and remember Phoenix has 2... 1 goals leads to blow twice.
Camalleri penalty.....wow...its a rule
Stajan Penaltly...wow...again ...its a rule
Boumeester goal on Flames....
Flames establish a NEW franchise record for winning a game when down 2 goals with under 5 minutes remaining to win in regulation .
Rob Kerr proved in calling the winning goal that he still hasnt reached puberty .....he was excited and I get that but wow.
And I am 1-0 when starting the GDT .....I feel good not jinxing starting it yesterday when HD had not already done so ...it seemed weird to me and I wasnt sure I was wrong in doing so especially since I dont have the talent like HD or AC to post the nice glossy pictures.

Burke getting fired by the Leafs is a "feel good story" for anyone who watches TSN. Now we won't have to hear him talk every day or have to hear something about him every day.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but we currently have the same amount of points as the Oilers, with the same games played.
Ahead in the standings of course, but tied really.

Hey, if we were both in 8th and the playoffs started tomorrow. We would be playing and they wouldn't. So not really tied.

I'm happy that Jagr, Selanne, Nabokov etc are proving that this isn't completely a young mans game with their solid play.
I'm also happy that the Oilers, even when completely healthy, are still a bad team.

The Wild still being dull-ass boring and not a threat to anything other than insomnia clinics, after signing Parise and Suter (and Konopka and Mitchell) last summer?

There are no feel good stories outside of the Flames.
I hope everyone loses.

Oilers young group have taken little step forward, and there is yet to be any sign of "generational talent" in their plethora of high lottery picks.
Kevin Lowe - is the feel good story here. The gift that just keeps giving.

Josh Harding posting a shutout his first game after being diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis, even if it was for the stinkin' Wild.
