Hmmm

Also of note, Wahl and Ramholt were the Flames only two second round picks from 2003 thru to 2010.

Was Wahl demanding a trade? I just don't see the logic in doing this. He was helping Utah out considerably.
Who cares what Wahl was doing with Utah. Prospects playing with the Grizzlies are not part of the future of the Flames.

You know what's worse than a 4th line grinder? A skilled player who is not good enough to play in the top 6, not tough enough to play in the bottom 6.

Would much rather have Wahl trying to earn a spot on the Flames instead of Blake Comeau stealing one.

Yeah maybe he's not good enough but we have seen that once you get in Ward's doghouse you are done so I'm hoping he gets a good shot in the Flyers organization as for them it's a pretty low risk move.

Wahl was not in the flames plans going forward. Might as well trade him and see if the new guy is worth a contract at the end of the season.

Please...there is no possibility anyone can get upset about this trade. If either one of them plays an NHL game or has an NHL contract next season, it would be a shock.

Too bad Wahl never panned out here. Best of luck.

Haha. You are vastly under estimating this place.

I get that Blake Comeau is the whipping boy around here but he is obviously a better player than a guy who can't make the AHL, it seems like every single thread someone needs to bring him up. Enough already

I'm surprised this even hit three pages to be honest.

And lets never mention Tim Ramholt again.

Is this guy a 4th line energy type player?

Or strictly a dead weight for dead weight.

I think it was Wahl's first or second training camp, he was looking pretty good and almost NHL ready. Sucks.

I would say its a change of scenery, and a twenty or so game audition for both players.

We all know about Wahl, he definitely needs a change of scenery, and looking at Testwuides numbers, his offensive production has steadily declined for three straight AHL seasons now after actually not being that bad in his rookie year.

Maybe with your clout around here you can block it out like a swear word?

Would rather Wahl help out Abby/Utah than anything. This trade accomplishes absolutely nothing.

Mike Testwuide

Quote:
Talent Analysis

Despite being 6'3, 216 pounds, Testwuide does not seem to realize exactly how powerful he is, even though he regularly overpowers opponents. He drives the net hard and his 18 goals prove he can capitalize on some of his chances. Testwuide doesn't have elite skill or speed, but he's a hardworking player who is difficult to play against and can lay out heavy hits along the boards.

Maybe they figured they might as well give him a chance somewhere else as I don't think he was in the plans going forward at all.

You guys should tweak forum software that if a Comeau reference doesn't come up by page two the forum will insert the key word + few randomly generated tirades.

This trade brings in a big AHLer and gives Wahl a chance to prove himself elsewhere, since it wasn't going to happen with the Flames. It may not impact the NHL team this year, but Feaster's job involves the entire organization, not just the NHLers.

Don't think he had a spot in Abbotsford as long as Ward is the coach.
