Didn't mind Kerr too much, he had a reason to go insane when we made it 4-4 then 5-4.

Exciting game, hopefully it's a sign of what's to come

Kinda starting to like the guy; not just because of his call today, but in general he has a unique personality and is starting to grow on me

I'll take a Kerr with emotion ANY day over one without. That was the main problem with his earlier games. Perhaps he has been reading the forums...

Kerr īs voice after Glencross won it for Flames was great, enthusiastic, with emotion, GREAT to hear he cares so much. Have no problem with it, i am used to emotional play-by-play, our best PBP guy in Czech republic is also very emotional, and that is how it has to be. Hockey is a game full of emotion. Kerr is so much better this season as PBP guy. Last year he had almost no emotion, this year what a difference. Kudos to him. My only complaint, don īt be so "excited" for the goals against us, no need to be 50-50, this is a Flames TV, right? Be a 100% HOMER! Be something like "sad" after goals against us. That is all from me :-) GO FLAMES GO!!!

Personally, I hate announcers who brush off goals by other teams. I think the responsibility of a PBP guy is to call the level excitement of the game, no matter what. Excited doesn't necessarily mean happy.

Kerr has shown his willingness to try different things, and his work ethic continues to be obvious. He is heads and shoulders more entertaining than he was last year, and I am a huge fan of him showing more of his (nerdy) personality in his play calling.

I'm pretty sure I've seen Kerr labelled as an oiler fanboy around these parts more than once. If that is indeed true, then I respect him for his ability to get as emotionally involved in the games as he can - I sure as hell wouldn't be able to do that for a coiler or cansuck game if I were calling it.

Some of the reasons I love Peter Maher (outside of that great voice) is because he is unbiased and makes a call that can connect with the emotion of the fan.

It seems that Rob has been taking queues on those points and I hope we get to continue to see him improve.

Im positive on Kerr as well. He brings a lot of enthusiasm that most broadcasters dont and it makes the game a little bit more exciting.

It would be interesting to hear Kerr perform if he had a real colour man to work with

I have to agree. Ultra-biased commentary is the worst. It reminds me of the Flames PPV's from a few years ago, when the PBP guy would refer to many of the players by their nickname; "Tangs...passes to Iggy...over to Lanks...", bush league. Though I'll admit I don't mind a little bit of a slant, especially when its just the regional Flames telecast. Just keep it professional.

As for Kerr, I will forever disagree with the Loubo for Kerr switch, but I'll admit I'm pretty much used to him by now. His excitement still seems manufactured at times, but at least he gets excited now, unlike the start of last year. He doesn't get on my nerves like he still seems to for many around here.

"CURTIS GLENCROSS!!!!" That was an awesome call! Not sure if that made me jump up and down or the goal itself. Just great!

Why do so many nerds get in to sports broadcasting, is it because they couldnt play sports very good?

I still can't stand him.

On the fan this morning they were making fun of his call on Glencross' goal. So funny, they were comparing it to Pete's call of the triple Yeah Baby. Only difference is that triple ya baby got us into the Stanley Cup final, Glencross' goal got us, well to 500 in late February.

Too funny.

Was at the game so I didn't hear Kerr. He must have lost his mind even more than usual in the last 2 min of the game.

What an ignorant post. How many broadcasters do you personally know that you are qualified to call them a nerd or not?

I don't mind criticism of the local broadcasters but posts like this make this site look terrible.

Kerr is alright. I like his calls but I find he makes more mistakes than other guys

I really liked Loubardious and wrote some complaints to sportsnet after he was wrongly fired

I love listening to Kerr call games! It was awesome to hear his response to the game winning goal last night.

Keep it up Kerr!
