I liked Loubardias better, but I don't get why the reaction to Kerr is so over-the-top.

The ability to take advantage of your opponent's mistakes is a huge part of the game. No team is perfect for 60 minutes. I felt the Flames were the better team for the majority of this game, but that is certainly arguable.

Vrbata and Hanzal? Cry me a river. The Flames are missing Kiprusoff and a legitimate NHL center on a team with 2 legitimate NHL centers. Maybe that's why Phoenix was even in this game to begin with.

If you want to remain optimistic, don't look at March's schedule.

Well settle for less if you like. I am not here to convince you. I just know that this was not a full effort and I expect more from my team, especially if they want to make the playoffs. I expect them to have a higher gear than this. My comments were in reference to someone saying this is the Flames best game of the year. I hope not is all I am saying.

The guy who comes in to the PGT and reacts by saying our draft stock is dropping doesn't really have a reason to watch any of the games, does he? If that's his reaction to a win, he would be hoping that the team he supports loses every game wouldn't he? What identifies him as fan then...?
Not sure why he watches the team but he does and posts on a message board so my guess is that he is a fan of the team despite not displaying it or posting as some people think that he should.

My point was more to do with the type of posts a couple above where a poster points out that the team played poorly and there should be concerns and is called out for it.

The "Kerr sucks" stuff is so over-the-top its hard to keep quiet.

Don't like it? REALLY simple solution.
I'm well aware of where the mute button is on my remote... but decent commentary really adds to the broadcast. Just my take on it./

I don't care what anyone says, Kerr is bad at this. His calls are over the top ridiculous. The guy on CBC last night was light years better. Just a huge difference between sounding like a professional and sounding like an amateur. This is the NHL.

coming back to win in regulation against one of the stingiest teams in the league and one of our most important matchups is the best game so far in my opinion. I guarantee the sentiment that Hartley is down on our guys is ridiculous, after a game like that the entire team has to be grinning from ear to ear. There are no perfect games for the Flames, only wins or losses. I mean, if you come in here to crap all over everyone in a huge win you'd be better off just not coming here at all. At what point will you allow people to enjoy themselves? The guys on the Phoenix broadcast were speechless when we came back to win it.

Important victory. Winning like this should give the group a significant jolt of confidence.

I'm not settling, but I am giving due credit. A later post of yours was very appropriate I thought. No, this can't be the best game of the season, that wouldn't be good. I personally don't think it is the best game they've played so far.

All i was saying is don't make excuses for the opposition. You made it sound like injuries to key Coyotes was the only reason the Flames won. I could argue, and probably be more close to reality, that injuries to key Flames are the only reason this team isn't in the middle of the playoff pack right now. We lost several games due to horrific goaltending. One has to think kipper would've been on track by now.

That's more than fair, I probably twisted the meaning of your original comment with what I had just been looking at.

Joey Mac:
3-2 on the season!

Boy it's nice to have a legit backup between the pipes.
I know he let a couple in late, but none could really be considered 'softies'.
Torres goal was impossible for any goalie to get across, the tying goal he was totally screened.

He's been solid for 3 straight games now.

This will be nice when the schedule gets compressed towards the end, if he keeps this up, we might be able to be comfortable enough to rest kipper on the back to backs even with likely 'playoff implications' around that time.

I was at curling tonight, but honestly when I got a Score notification with 5:00 left, I figured "oh crap, another loss". The next notification I got I figured would have been a 5 or 6-4 Coyotes final, but was pleasantly surprised to see the Flames won.

Feels good to get a win coming back from a late third deficit, even though I couldn't watch. Red Mile DJ sure got a treat I imagine!

15 games and 9 of them are on the road.

Flames have 2 winnable games to end February. They need those 4 points.
