You know, just because you go over and talk to a Wild player and shake him up a bit, does NOT mean an automatic even up call. We aren't asking for a Bertuzzi play here.
Minimum is a facewash on the Wild player, if he retaliates, then you drop the gloves because the ref isn't going to create a penalty for the Flames.
Instead the team doesn't do a single thing.
I might be a bit easier on this group if it wasn't for what happened the previous night vs. LA, to which there was no excuse not to take a pound of flesh.

GlenX is the player who can't score, can't hit, and plays lazy. Scoreface is his split personality who is capable of being a quality player from solid hard work.
They both wear #20.

Only watched two periods tonight. But, here goes.
Bouwmeester was awesome tonight, saw a couple of hits, skated like a demon, jumped up in the rush in great position every time, and his break out passes were spot on.
Stajan was great tonight, good hard work, won face offs and capitalized on his chances. Good to see him being consistently good this year.
MacDonald looked better tonight and showed better poise. Made solid saves. Will likely get better with more starts. But let's hope Kipper gets back soon.
Sven, needs some PP time. More time, more room to make plays and get comfortable. Don't understand leaving skill off of the PP.
Wideman and Brodie were the only minus players on the ice tonight but I still like this pairing.
Comeau.....rubber hockey stick. Doesnt matter if he is skating well, especially if he cannot keep the puck. Admitedly there is some (not a lot) improvement the last two games. Maybe its confidence that is hindering him.
A little critique on Wideman. Last few games his outlet passes have been mostly been banked off of the boards and very little happens after. Maybe the forwards aren't putting themselves in the right position but his outlets have to be better.
And last but not least. Feaster needs to look at Stajan and realize that having two more established centers on this team will do wonders for the look. I can handle having three Matt Stajan type players centering the team than having One center for the whole team. Please please do something!

The CBC panel is such a joke, can't believe I sat an extra ten minutes to listen to that crap.
Exactly what do they see in Minnesota, that they should be so, so much better than this? Bunch of Parise fanboys. He's supposed to transform a whole mediocre team, I suppose? Didn't know he was suddenly superman-esque. The defense oriented, close to the vest system in Minny is sucking the offense out of each previous league talent one by one, they should really not be surprised by any of this. However, it is valid to say that Suter hasn't been the same player, even defensively.
But then the loud mouthed midget had the audacity to utter "Flames" at the last moment after spending a whole segment of a postgame Calgary victory talking about Minny, and hold out his hand to signify how low on the bar he feels our team is, then back tracks quickly to say 'right now'. The disrespect just doesn't end with these guys.
Give credit where credit is due, and keep your personal fascinations and preferences on the side. That is all I ask.
If you can't then Gtfo and go find a job in Edmonton or Toronto.
The only good thing out of CBC tonight was the PBP guy. My ears didn't feel assaulted all night. What a treat!

pathetic panel discussions.
good game. i think iggy could be a bit angrier. he showed some determination throughout the game. happy for stajan.
i believe putting comeau in to 24/47/17 line is to have some physical presence.

So, who played tonight? Did Scoreface almost emerge? Where is Glencross? Who is Glencross.

Off topic since I brought in Regehrs name earlier in this thread but how has he been?
It seems like he is Buffalo's 6/7 dman which is shocking considering he is only 32

The Flames also seem to have an inordinate amount of bodies crashing into their crease this year. I don't think this is a coincidence.

I'd be upset if it was a deliberate run at the goalie but it wasn't. The player in question fell into the boards after contact and you would have a Flames player jump on him. The timing of the game was wrong to attempt a face washing that might or might not result in an extra penalty. People on this forum would be up in arms if that possible extra penalty resulted in the tying goal, crying a lack of discipline.

That Aliu hit (charge probably) woke the team up. Even if he gets a penalty for that now and again, it's what this team needs! Begin has been god, though invisible tonight. Jackman has become a waste of a roster spot
