Un-effing-believable.
I like the fourth line though. Big and rugged is what we need on that line.

Spoke with Blair Jones this morning. He sounded pretty deflated (unless that's how he always sounds). However, Jones said he'd just like to get his confidence back down here and Ward said he fully intends on playing Blair in every situation so he can do just that.

Because the guy has had troubles staying in an AHL line-up the past two seasons? They are testing him internally in the minors and the reports from people who watch the Heat on this board aren't glowing. That combined with healthy scratches doesn't say much for him.
For a guy who's not a fighter (2 fights this year according to this thread), he certainly has a lot of penalty minutes (80 in 27 games). Even if he does have a few misconducts, that's way too many minor penalties for a forward to be taking. Playing on the edge is great, but when you're sitting in the box that often it hurts a lot more than it helps. Especially when you're a marginal player at best.

Did you ask him what happened to make him so unfavourable in the eyes of both coaching staff and management?

That's how I see it too - I think, when healthy, or 2nd and 3rd lines match up nicely against most other teams. But our first line is inferior compared to any decent clubs.

Something happened with Blair Jones behind the scenes.
Went from appearing to be a favorite of Hartley/Feaster to waived pretty much overnight.

Doesn't cost anything to try him out for a couple games. This team is in no position to trade assets off to add grit. All other options should be exhausted first.

Bonafide NHLer sent down to the minors because Blake Comeau is on a 1-way and you don't want to risk losing that guy on waivers.

I don't know why they'd consider losing him a risk. I think it's a reward to not have him on the team. Half of CP would be waiting at the Dome, ready to drive Comeau to the airport if he was claimed, myself included.

If he was involved with her, he should be waived due to vision problems. hahaha
whats up with her lately? other than being the unattractive, terrible sportscaster that she has always been.

If you sign a guy and then waive him, it looks bad.
If you sign a guy and claim you wanted to sign him for even longer and then waive him, it looks even worse.
Same reason babchuk is still with the team, I imagine.

I really want to believe that Feaster/Hartley are trying to lose on purpose and get a top draft pick.... but poor Sven. Play well in game 1, get demoted, almost get scratched but (PR move?) end up on the 4th line, get injured, and now Comeau as his center. No wonder we suck at developing prospects.

Remember, TJ brodie was a healthy scratch to start the season and if Babchuk had been healthy to start the season, likely would've been sent down.

Yup, can't believe he was a healthy scratch. That was another terrible move.
