I think even Liverpool fans are kind of quietly hoping he goes away soon.

Liverpool fans seem to be as delusional as it gets and they have been fairly creative in the ways they have defended him in the past. I think for the minority that are realistic they always hope that he will tone it down and even may now realize that isn't going to happen but the majority seem to think that it isn't much different from other players and defend him.

I hope he tones it down. Honestly though, I'm at the point where it hardly even bothers me anymore because everybody rags on him constantly whether he has done something wrong or not. I hope he stays for the long haul.

if he leaves they are legitimately mid-table.... don't think they want him to go
he's going to get a lot more attention now with Balotelli gone, he's the only real "crazy foreigner" the Sun/Daily Mail can talk about

No Liverpool fans that I know want him to go quietly away and I know a fair few.
He's a brilliant footballer. The only world class player that Liverpool have. Without him I don't know where this team would be. Midtable, certainly or worse.
Not that I condone any of the crap he pulls though. That I could do without.

They're over-achieving right now. As sad as that is.

Outside of thrashing an under-strength Swansea they dont have a win against any club in the top 10 of the table. And I wouldnt say that they're capable of getting one. Maybe against Everton. Maybe.
I dont think they're better than their results indicate. I think they could be worse.

It's not like they are getting played off the field by those teams though. They outplayed City twice, have up a lead against Arsenal, had a winner wrongly ruled offside against Everton.
I think a 6-7 place finish by the end of the season is a pretty accurate reflection of where they are as a team right now, which is a bit better then mid table.

8th actually and I guess it depends om what your definition of middle of the table is and how broad a range you use. They certainly aren't a top team in the EPL and probably not a bottom team so middle team seems the best way to describe them this year and the last couple of years.

The 8 defining days that will make or break Real Madrid's season. 2 Clasicos in one week and Manchester United in the CL right after that. With La Liga completely out of their reach all they have left is the Copa del Rey and the CL. Starting today with the 2nd leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final played in the Nou Camp, here is hoping that Barca do their job today and eliminate Real and that Man U take them out of the CL next week. I can't stand Mourinho and I would love nothing more than for his probable last season in Spain to be a complete failure.

While no fan of Real it is always great to see the scum that is Barcelona get beat, especially so easily at home.
Hopefully Milan can do the same in a couple of weeks and we can hear the whining and excuses from the greatest team ever assembled.

Sometimes I wish Uli Hoeness would speak less often.

To rub more salt into the wound, this is what BVB sporting director said right after the loss:
Quote:
Michael Zorc, the club's sporting director, confirmed the news with Sky Deutschland after the match. "Robert will not renew his contract, he will leave either this summer or in the summer of 2014," he said.

That sucks. Lewandowski doesnt make that team though. As great as he is, he can be replaced.
What a name though:
Micheal Zorc! Kneel before Zorc!
