Well I'm not suggesting he could have changed it up at the very last second, but he did have a lot of time to adjust (several seconds at least) while he was coming across the ice. He was coming in at such a bad angle that he had to have known that it was going to be a pretty dicey hit even if it had gone perfect. That's the "could have let up" I was suggesting at. Heck if he had taken an extra stride towards his own zone before throwing the shoulder it would have been much more of a "strait on" contact rather than coming in from the side so much.
No he didn't stick his knee out, I think the hit was a little low but not so bad that it was the problem. It was mostly just the fact that he came in from the side of Clutterbuck and clipped his legs because of it. Maybe not an obviously dirty hit but a stupid decision and a bad result nonetheless.

Looks like a three game suspension. Wasn't pretty that's for sure. As for intent, that's borderline and subjective. Not sure there was intent to injure but there sure was intent to make contact.

Maybe true, but for as long as hockey has been around the onus has been on the player throwing the hit not the player receiving.
Same thing you see from defenceman all the time, someone comes across the line with their head down and you absolutely crush them, however if you hit them in a dirty manner you are at fault. It's the way it's always been.
I know you are trolling and I shouldn't feed you but there it is.

I think Eberle is their best player and will turn out to be the better rounded player going forward.
It scares me that the entire group should only get better.

Hard one to judge... No sudden movements by Clutterbuck so Hall should have been able to hit cleanly.
Either Hall is just terrible at aiming checks or he was targeting that leg.
I am leaning towards the second, Hall targeted the leg and went low to catch him just above the knee.

Should be a three game suspension, Halls skate position and lean tell the tale with this hit, it looked like he was deliberately going for low bridge hit on the leg or knee. It was a pretty dirty play.

Don't kid yourself Hall did this at the end of the game, and got into it with the reporter after the game because he's frustrated with his own play, and realizing the "ceiling" on his game is getting lower and lower .
