Everyone on this roster should be deemed available - for the right price.

Glencross won't be asked to move. No team would want Tanguay. I'll copy my post from another thread as to whom I think the Flames should trade:

Then go aggresively after the best college FA's, continue drafting the way they have been, and throw some money around in free agency.

They aren't going to trade away 12 players and go into the season with only 8 NHLers next year

I'd keep Stempniak and Stajan, they both work hard and are contributing their fair share this season.

With the players they trade, they would be able to get some younger talent that can play..

You still need to have some decent players even if you go in a re-build direction. Tanguay/Stempniak are both guys I would hang on to even with a re-build.

Honestly....when was the last time Gio played good consistently? He can be one of the first to go as far as I am concerned.

You want to ice a team with 12 prospects in the lineup? Have you already bought a McDavid jersey or something?

All out rebuild imo. Keep the youth and the guys who show up to play each night. Unload everyone else for whatever you can get, as minor retools won't make this a winning team any time soon anyway.

Keep: (in no particular order)
- Hudler
- Wideman
- Brodie
- Baertschi
- Backlund
- Smith
- Horak

- Glencross

Was on the fence with Tanguay, Glencross & Stempniak... as Jiri mentioned you need some vets around even in a full rebuild. Of the 3, stick with Stempniak, then he, Wideman & Hudler answer that role well enough I think.

McDavid and Mackinnon/Jones, now you are on your way to building a contender.

I would keep Brodie, Baertschi and Backlund. Aside from the Triple B's I would put the rest of the roster out there for trades. Then take the best deals. Obviously you can't just wholesale dump players and you need some vets around for the rebuild.

But no need to handcuff the GM with respect to deals. Get the best return possible.

Consider keeping unless the return is real worth it:
- Bouwmeeester (reduced contract)
-Cammy
- Tanguay
- Iggy
- Glencross
- Kipper

Dump:
- Stajan
- Comeau (obviously)

- Stempniak

I know that Stempniak is playing the best hockey as a Flame right now , but historically he pulls a Bouwmeester..... he played his worst down the stretch last year and followed up his goal a game pace in Phoenix with absolutely nothing in the playoffs.

Stempniak is the ideal trade right now guy as when he goes the last 15 games with 1 goal and 2 assists he will be a contract dump.

It looks like people, for the most part, seem to agree on the same players. I am a bit surprised that Jiri decided to keep Glencross. While we see what he can bring when is is on his game, I think he really lacks in his work effort. If things don't go right for him he gets frustrated and just floats. He isn't a guy who should be on the 1st line, and if you go with a rebuild he may find himself on the 1st line being frustrated with himself far too often.
