Not a first line guy, realize that is impossible. Heck even a strong third line center was a roster need. Take a flyer on a cheap alternative like Connolly...

Smith with a terrible pass. This team truly is bi-polar. Everyone that was effective last season is playing terrible and everyone that sucked last year has improved dramatically.

I seem to recall that he was sold as Jokinen's replacement.
It's telling that even in the Flames' current center situation, they dont' even try him in the middle. Rather go with Comeau or whoever.

Dear god no, we are on the verge of getting some pieces at the draft, the last thing the Flames need is for him to move their only tradeable assets (draft picks) for some more crap to put on the pile. When you have one of the worst teams in the league for the love of god do not trade picks or young players.
