We need size and speed more than scoring. Our top line gets muscled off the puck too easily. If we could get a young guy with average hands that is extremely tough we should take him, we need a guy like Lucic (obviously we'd never get him) who can control situations physically.

I don't care where he goes as long as the return is good. Hell, if Vancouver offers a deal heads and shoulders better than anybody else he can go there.

I'd probably be ok with any team, as long as it isn't a Canadian one.
If I had to pick a team, I'd probably pick the NYR though.
I don't know if I'm remembering it wrong, since I was just a kid then, but I do recall the NHL's popularity being at its best around the time when the Rangers won in '94. I'm sure it'd be great for the game's popularity/growth if they did it again.

I'm with you if Edmonton offers the best package you make that deal immediately. I think there are Pitt rumors tho because the pieces fit the best. They have some really good d prospects, (the flames have none) and they could really use a winger on Crosby's line.
He could also fit in la they need offense in a bad way and Darryl is familiar. Iggy for bernier, 1st, and tiffoli we may have to throw a d man in as well... Babchuk for there 2nd pp unit? Butler?

Iggy to Pens for 1st and prospect. A 2nd also if possible. He goes and wins a cup and resigns in Calgary as a UFA

Iggy spent 3 years in his late teens in Kamloops. He now owns a part of the Kamloop Blazers. The family lives on the lake in the Kelowna area in the off season. You can't tell me his familly would not mind Vancouver over Pitt or somewhere out east. Not to mention that Vancouver is in a win now mode and Iggy would pot 40+ goals blind folded playing with the Sedin sisters.

What do we care about here?
Winning the cup or hating on rivals?
If you care about winning the cup you take the best deal you can get.

I'm hoping someone gives a good deal, but I don't see that happening as how he is playing now, he's awful.

Iginla has been called out by his coach, his friend, the media, and the fans. He is risking damaging his legacy if he stays in Calgary. He isn't helping the team. He isn't going to win here. He would still be a major asset to a team like Pittsburgh and could win a cup. Meanwhile Calgary will benefit more from the return we get the from Iggy.
Unless we turn it around quickly moving him is the only thing that makes sense for anyone.
