You have to respect the Oilers strategy; play like #### for 95% of the game, then wait for the next powerplay and find a way to score a goal to get the game to OT.

Seems to work almost every game.

Holy lol at anyone who doesn't think that should be a suspension. A dirty plug blatantly intending to injure a star player with a history of concussions. I don't see how it's even debatable. I guess Hossa played the rest of the game?

I get what you're saying, I said it myself after the 2nd

the hawks skaters>>>Canucks skaters tonight completely

but goaltending has been the Hawks weakness for 3 years, it's well known they are going to outplay a team a lot of nights and lose on weaker goals

goalies are part of the team

I will not be surprised if Hossa is out for an extended length of time.

Well if the Kings can beat the Oilers tonight, it will turn out to be an awesome night!

Negative, he did not return to the contest. Was having a 2 goal game at the time of the injury, the best player on the ice for either team.

throw the suspension at him. Not to mention he just took out a star player probably for an extended amount of time.
If i am Chicago i don't dress Hossa even if he is good until a decision is made by the NHL on this dirty skum bag of a hit. Punish VAN with the loss of a roster player.

Depends on the team he plays against, some teams he looks like the second coming of Pelle Lindbergh

He's been really good positionally, but when he gets out of that comfort zone forget it.

Just going to ignore that the Hawks backup was playing tonight due to injury?

So basically against Flames. But I'm just starting to think that it's only because Flames make every goalie look good. Except for Bachman!

I like how in typical d.bag fashion Hansen doesn't stand up for himself and cowers when the Hawks converge on him.

Quenville said Hossa looked ok after the game, hopefully it was just precautionary to keep him out

lol, in that case, easiest decision Shanahan will have to make all year, since the NHL punishes based on the outcome and not the act.

IMO he is top 3 in the league for POS players.

So he is 3rd on the Canucks then?

I'm pretty surprised he didn't come back. Possibly protocol given his history but it seriously did not look like a very hard shot.

How anyone can say that isn't worthy of a suspension is just plain stupid...

Hansen wasn't even getting a penalty on the play until the Hawks reacted to it. If its anyone other then Hossa he gets right back up and no one talks about it.

Hansen will probably get 1 game, anymore then that and that's just stupid.

the tsn and sportnet VAN butt kissers are doing everything to overlook the head shot and not discuss it at in length unlike what they have done to break down every head shot this season.

Very selective reporting.
