We are talking about a guy likely prone to extreme jealousy and insecurity to begin with. Throw in a smoking hot model, and the rumoured texts with a rugby player, plus Pistorius likely high sense of entitlement (his paralympic loss reaction being an obvious indicator) and the Roid Rage factor, and those all add up to pretty much what happened: A mistake he probably regretted the second after he fired the bullets, but that doesn't change what happened.
The only person who knows what really happened has no incentive to tell the truth, as it totally ends his life. As such I trust nothing he has to say about this.

Phone records are also being checked after South African reports suggested Reeva got a late-night text from South African rugby star Francois Hougaard, a pal of Pistorius’s.
Detectives believe Pistorius may have been angry at the text.

It's been in a few different articles I've read. Text was the wrong word but they were communicating via social media and this apparently may be used as evidence (perhaps that it set Pistorius off?)
Quote:
Some in South Africa have speculated about the nature of Miss Steenkamp’s friendship with the South African national team rugby player Francois Hougaard, and whether this played a part in the tragedy.
The South African Times cited sources close to the police investigation as saying that social media messages including ones from Mr Hougaard might form part of the prosecution’s evidence at Mr Pistorius’ bail hearing at the Pretoria Central Magistrates tomorrow.

I've heard mentions of a bloody cricket bat but nothing about any evidence of it being used or any signs of her skull being crushed, where are you getting that?

Why? The duration of their relationship has no bearing on that.

It's a trash mag, but that angle has been widely reported.

That seems pretty shaky to me. If her skull was "crushed" in a way that indicated blunt force trauma and there is a cricket bat covered with her blood the whole defense story makes no sense at all. I can't imagine his defense team is so inept that they crafted a story that asks the judge to simply overlook that evidence.

yeah I don't know the conditions under which his affidavit was given. off the cuff, I guess it is ok. But if his lawyers were able to craft this at relative leisure, pretty weak.
I'm never going to the bathroom in the middle of the night......

It's really too bad the POS didn't trip over his stumps on the way to the bathroom and accidentally shoot himself in the face.
....and I feel that way whether his official statement is true or not.

Am I a bad person because I visualized this in my head and laughed?

Sure it was dark in the room, but you'd have to think it would be easy to notice whether or not a person is still in a bed.
Then he starts yelling at the person in the bathroom, and makes "threats". But for some reason she doesn't say anything, or come out of the bathroom? Then he just begins to open fire (4 shots!). I don't know how gun nuts react to break-ins like that, but do you really need to shoot 4 times through your bathroom door to get someone's attention?
Then of course there is the cricket bat... if that actually exists obviously his whole story is pooched, and he's 100% guilty. It's a pretty poorly concocted story though if the bat does exist, he should have gone for self defense if that's the case. I just hope his celebrity status doesn't help him at all in evading the maximum punishment if he's found guilty.

They probably had a special double king bed. You don't want to be bladekicked all night.
