This kind of team the Flames have no answer for. They don't have the horses to beat a physical defensive team.

How odd was it that the Flames lost the second half of a back-to-back?
I can't speak for others but I'm not talking about losing. I'm talking about lack of effort and passion. This is a weak-minded bad team.

Lack of talent?
You bet a lack of talent. Position for position we are almost always lower on the talent end than our opponents. Tonight's game is actually a rare occasion where I'd say the Flames have more talent on the ice than the opposition, but the Coyotes are very well coached. But 90% of the time the Flames top two lines are never as talented as the other teams top 2 lines, and our top D pair is rarely as good as the oppositions. The only position we are consistently more talented is in net with Kipper.

That by definition is a lack of talent.

People expect iggy to play like its 2004 again. The guy is mortal, he can't bring every night like he used to. WRT lack of talent...when was last time we were in the playoffs? The only thing that counts is Ws

I agree the Iginla hate can go overboard at time. The guy is 35 years old and he shouldn't have to be carrying the team anymore. But nobody else is really doing anything offensively to help the team right now, and they should knowing that Iginla isn't scoring. Yes Iginla needs to be better but there is only so much he can do with how the team is playing right now. The only reason i want Iginla to be moved is because he and the franchise have to move on. I wouldn't hold anything against Iggy if he asked for a trade or if the orginization came out and said they want to move him. If he wants to stay i'd be fine with it too.

I wonder if the rink DJ will run out of songs to play in between whistles?

Flames look like a team built for the east or the Oilers pre-tank mode lol. Suffocated by bigger teams like Phx, Stl and Van.

Is it fair to say what Phx is doing is what Sutter wanted the Flames to be like. Defensively strong, great goalie, and maybe with a slightly better offensive upside. Not exciting, but effective
