Agreed. Real fans who stick through everything enjoy the wins so much more then band wagoners.

Maybe for some, but I'm sure for others (including myself) it's more the state of the organization that I'm frustrated with, I didn't have too high of expectations for this season.

Honestly, why?
We have people here who want the team to lose freaking out, despite the fact they are getting what they want.
We have people freaking out over a bloody fourth liner (yet again). I like Jones and find this curious, but the fact remains, he is a fourth liner and his contributions are decidedly limited. He only takes six faceoffs a game, and his percentage is no better than what we've gotten from Cervenka, Horak and Street (albeit in limited opportunities). He plays eight minutes a night, and does not play special teams at all. This is simply not a move worth getting upset about.
Comeau actually gives the team more value simply by playing the penalty kill. Even if he has this really annoying get-into-great-scoring-position-but-flub-every-shot habit.
Jackman offers toughness, on the occasions we need it.

Well yes, but the majority of giveaways can be attributed to a lack of support. And a lack of support from the forwards to the defencemen has been a major problem with this team for years.
The first goal against, Cervenka was way too high (pretty much at the blueline), when the defencemen are being pressured, it's very difficult to make a long pass out to the blueline. They either force it, which is what they did, which caused the turnover, or they ice it. Either way, you put your defencemen in a bad situation.
I find it's very selfish from the forwards. All the good teams, the winning teams, all provide ample support. It's why their breakouts always look so good, because they breakout as a team. It's really not that difficult to figure out how to win games, all you have to do is watch what the winning teams do and copy it. But this Flames team has always chosen to follow the path of losing teams. Even under Sutter's "defensive system", the forwards still hated coming back to support. Maybe it's cause we have crappy centres who don't know how to play it properly.

It's a fan base that has witnessed second round playoff hockey once since 1989 with many years not even getting to the dance. A history of incompetence. Can't draft right, can't get the right support players for its franchise players, and now seemingly can't make the right decisions for its fourth line players. Flames fans are reacting pretty rationally given what they've been witnessing for about 23 years.

What?
Jackman shies away from hits and scrums, especially when the team is down. He is a flat out puss of a hockey tough guy or fourth liner. Stortin was more effective in the role, jackman should be ashamed of every pay cheque he receives.

Well it's just my opinion, but the decision of 4th liners shouldn't be a big concern for fans. I'm not too concerned, was it a mistake? Maybe. Should Comeau be gone? Yeah. However they see around 5 minutes a game, it seem to be a very minor thing to be upset over.

Jackman is tired of getting beaten up every fight. So he's not fighting as much.
Can't blame him.

Being a tough guy is one thing.
Being a punching bag is quite another.
Especially when nothing is on the line.

It's still something Jackman does that Jones doesn't.
Seriously, what does Jones offer this team?

Comeau got considerable icetime with Tanguay and Hudler last night AND is going to be centering the top line tomorrow.
Not so minor.

Let's call it what it is.
This is a fan base where somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of the fans weren't fans before the 2004 playoffs. That is not a knock against them, but they haven't been through the stuff longer term fans have. They got spoiled right off the bat and came to expect playoffs and championships, without realizing it was very difficult in a 21 team league, let alone a 30 team league. They are about to the a taste of the young guns era, and alot of ankles will be broken jumping off the bandwagon.

That was two seasons ago, he was bad last year too and it was talked about a lot. It's hardly bi-polar when it comes to Jackman.

considering Jones hasn't been able to win faceoffs in his entire career to date, I would think there is a better chance this is merely just a hot streak to start the season.
