They aren't big enough anymore to play the body to take the puck away and they dont look to be fast enough to pick the puck off the oppositions stick either so they have to skate around following the opposition until they try to make a pass. Which for teams like St. Louis and Vancouver means an endless juicy cycle in the Flames end.

I wouldn't focus on goaltending too much. The goaltender plays only a small part in these type of games.

The guy isnt ready... what part of that do people not get. Hes shaky at best and terrible positionally and has terrible rebound control. Mcdonald may not be better in terms of athleticism but i feel much more comfortable with him in net.
Show me all these great plays people claim Irving has made, I will show 5X more plays that he has looked terrible.
Honestly, people claiming Irving is ready, prove it! Show me some evidence.

I don't think a lot of people are saying Irving is ready. They are saying it doesn't matter who is in net tonight, the team didn't show up. (Or at least that's what I'm saying)
