Default Meteorite explodes above Chelyabinsk, Russia. Over 900 injured
Small meteorite, but there was still some damage and a very loud sonic boom.

. --- keep the volume on low. Sonic Boom here

- Streak across the sky and explosion. Volume ok.

damn lucky russians, we always get the comets that don't show, or the meteor showers during a rainy day. They get exploding asteroids.

I saw a meteor like that in about the year 2000 early evening in the summer. I was travelling west bound on Memorial Dr. and it was travelling south just this side of the Rockies. I didn't see it go down as it went out of sight, and probably exploded in the mountains. I pulled over to watch and a bunch of other cars did as well. I checked later in the news and on the net but I never saw any reports.

Wasn't some whacking big meteor supposed to cruise near to Earth over Australia some time around now?

Maybe it's sending scouts to find the best pub to stop in for a wee dram.

^ maybe a piece. Sounds like it broke up in the atmosphere.

The building in the photo above that I posted is being said to have been damaged by this.

What is so cool about this, is with all of the dash cams that recorded it, from so many angles, they will likely be able to find the debris in a hurry once the math nerds get involved.

I am assuming the sonic booms are what damaged the factory, not the meteorites.

Kinda like a mini Tunguska event:
