There's no way that you break up that Cervenka-Tanguay-Hudler line now after the way they played last night.

Maybe Cammalleri-Stajan-Iginla and Glencross-Horak-Stempniak round out the top 9.

I'd keep Tanguay with Cervenka and Hudler, why mess with a good thing? YOu know if you put Tanguay with Iggy, you know the two of them are just going to keep trying to force ridiculous passes to each other. I'd have Horak with Iggy and Glencross as he's a bit more defensively responsible, is a natural centre, but also has enough skill to keep up with those two wingers.

I really liked what I saw from Tanguay/Cervenka/Hudler line last night and hope they keep it going.

I think we should see these lines tomorrow

Hudler-Tanguay-Cervenka
Cammy-Stajan-Iginla
Glencross-Horak-Stempniak
Jackman-Jones-Comeau

Possibly shuffle the top 3 centers as the game goes on but Tangs looked great with the Czechs last night. I almost think Horak has to play C he might be better on the wing but has more experience at the NHL level than Cervenka when it comes to playing up the middle.

I'd rather see

Cammy Tanguay Iginla
Horak- Cevrenka Hudler
Stemp Stajan Glencross
Jackman Jones NotComeau(Sarich)

Glencross is way out of place on the first line. Horak showed that he can score when he gets setup like eariler this year before Sven got injured. Sarich is a better forward than Comeau.
and then

Bouwmeester Gio
Wideman Brodie
Smith Babchuk

Smith Babchuk was a pretty good pairing last year down the stretch.

Just say no to Tanguay and Iginla together. They are way more effective separated than on a line. When they play together it becomes this ridiculous game of Tanguay trying to set up Iggy for the perfect one-timer and it almost never works.

Roll 3 offensive units and a checking line

Hudler - Tanguay - Cervenka
Glencross - Horak - Iginla
Cammalleri - Stajan - Stempniak

Roll those three and give more time to the line that plays best.

Then have the 4th unit as

Comeau - Begin - Jones

if Horak is looking out of his depth at centre, promote Jones again

keep tangs playing with hudler and cervenka.

put iginla with glencross.

keep stajan and stempniak together.

Cervenka Tanguay Hudler
Glencross Horak Iginla
Stempniak Stajan Cammi

i think this is more balanced.

Dallas goalie was horrible. Hopefully Elliot plays the same tomorrow.

He wasn't good but he wasn't terrible. The Flames created good goals last night.

Don't recall a "soft" goal last night for the Flames.

St.Louis has some really weird goalie woes right now. Halak seems to be disjointed/injured and Elliot has come back down to earth. Add to that the D has been caught far too many times lately pinching and not having anyone covering the back end. Still, this is a young and potent St.Louis team and the Flames will have to Bring their A+ game to the rink tomorrow to keep it interesting.

If any, I would say the Glencross goal was the weakest, Bachman had a god chance to read the puck was too slow to get across. And the Glencross goal was a good goal because that pass from Iginla was so very nice.

Happy to see Horak get his shot, kid proved he can play in his own zone as an NHLer last season, lets see if he can add some offensive game this season.

Would like to see:

Tanguay-Cervenka-Hudler
Glencross-Horak-Iginla
Cammy-Stajan-Stempniak
Comeau-Jones-Jackman

Really hope Horak takes advantage of his ice time with skilled teammates this season, it would be a huge win if he could replace even 75% of what Backlund was bringing this season.

Based on what they have to work with, I really like the look of these lines, hope that's what Calgary goes with.

In the games that the Flames have had their three offensive lines of depth this season they have played good games. (Canucks, Oilers, Avs, Hawks, Red Wings, Stars)

In the games that we missed some combination of Hudler, Cervenka, Sven, Backlund, and Cammy we have struggled and not looked as good. (Sharks, Ducks, Blue Jackets,Canucks, Wild).

3 lines of scoring depth is the key to this teams success this year since we don't have the top end talent compared to other teams.

Iggy needs a line to carry, I notice he's not that productive when he's got skilled players. In that case, I think last nights lines are awesome, and Iggy's line is still the #1 unit.

Iggy needs to drive the line and play with a more physical edge to be successful.

When he plays with Tanguay he becomes more of a perimeter player waiting for Tanguay to create an opening for Iggy to get off his shot. Still successful offensively but leads to Iggy playing a softer 200 ft game.
