Irving with big saves at the start and end. Team put up lots of goals. Solid win.

Back to the topic at hand. Not going to read much into this game as all that counts is the W. Kind of an 80's throwback game with all the wide open scoring chances. I expect the Stars were a bit gassed and the Flames at least initially took advantage with the team maybe trying too hard to all get in on the action neglecting their defensive responsibilities. I have a feeling we will see MacDonald on Friday which will be interesting to see how he fares as he's probably has a bit of a book on the Blues playing in that division.
I'd be surprised if they don't go back to Irving after the win.

Needed those 2 points.

Flames d has to do better. Forwards have to pick up their man also.

Glad they got the win but things need to tighten up if they want to get a bunch in a row.

Irving's 3rd goal should never have happened. Gave Dallas life for the rest of the game.

They needed to win this game. Things were getting pretty grim surrounding the team.
-Great job by Iggy with a couple of perfect passes and leading the team emotionally
-Bouwmeester had a mostly good game. He's been much more physical this season.
-The Hudler-Tanguay-Cervenka line is a lot of fun to watch. They should have had 5 goals themselves tonight. Cervenka looks better and the puck is finding him.
-CAMMALLERI! He's important to this team
-Brodie and Wideman were so solid again
-Stajan had a mostly good game too, but he's been an adequate 3rd line center this year
-I'll leave the Irving stuff alone... glad he played better at the end of the 3rd and got the win

Nice to see the offensive outburst. This should get Iggy and Cammy going as they have both been streaky the last couple of years.

I really want Irving to succeed but despite the 2-1-1 record he looks shaky to me. I hope Malarchuk and the rest of the staff can help him take his game up a step but I'm not confident.

The centre position is a huge gap on this team. In the third period I was pining for Olli Jokinen of all things, just so we could have a big body centre to throw out there for a few shifts and help keep a lid on the game.

Would still like to see more team defense and team toughness but we'll take the win and move on!

As I said here: http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpos...01&postcount=9

The Twizzlers were the difference maker. Good game!

Where are the haters now?
I dunno maybe, just maybe injuries might have something to do with the last couple of games?
Wait til Kipper and Baerstchi come back

Roger Millions ‏@RogMillions It should be noted since Roman Cervenka missed first 3 games....#Flames are 4-2-2 on the season...#coincidence??

Really like what Cervenka brings to the Flames. Sure he missed the wide open net, but him and Hudler are just dynamite together.

Iriving was a bit shaky in the middle there, but a wins a win. Kids 2-1-1 in four game.

If the Flames would have let Dallas back into this I think that would have been the season, but this is a good win to build off of. Lots of scoring and managed to hang on.
