Calgary's top players have come alive.
Fantastic news, even if it is against a tired and confused Dallas team.

Iginla has always been a severely underrated playmaker.

Great play by Jones as well...and Brodie. That was just a beauty play from start to finish.

Just because he wasn't a first round pick, doesn't mean he can't develop into something.

Irving is 24 years old. Yes - he's been around awhile because he was drafted at 18 but he's also dealt with significant injuries which have hampered his development. I'd hardly say that his potential has peaked at 24. I don't think he's ever been given a true chance.
Taylor is a great story - but it's not like he's some this young up and coming superstar. He's 26 - not old by any means and, same as Irving, probably hasn't reached his potential. But how does Taylor get a chance to continue to develop when Irving doesn't?

If Iggy plays like this, no one complains, and he isn't going anywhere.

All started with an awesome read by Brodie. The kind of thing Gio did two years ago.

At least he is making this one sided game super exciting!
|
Why not compare rookies to rookies? Why do some rookies get a pass and others don't? I don't understand why people aren't willing to give Irving a chance to develop.
