And again - you're judging his entire career and ability to be an NHL goalie on less than 20 games experience. It's ridiculous. Not all rookies are Sydney Crosby and can come and be a superstar - some take time to develop and unfortunately, developing often means mistakes. Brodie has made his fair share - as had Baertschi in his few games - but most people aren't ready to write them off.

Has a goalie ever been pulled in a non-injury situation with a lead? I think we might need to get Irving out of there, at least until the end of the period so he can settle down.

The Flames' chances have been much higher-quality.

This period has as much flow to it as most of my beer league games. What a hot mess.

Well I think it's a bit early to give up on the rookie - that's why the Flames have limited young talent. Players don't perform in their first 20 games and we write them off. Give the kid a chance - he's not an instant superstar but that doesn't mean he's not an NHL goalie.

Irving has been around for several years, and has never seized the opportunities he has been given. He was the third best goalie on our AHL team this year. He looks terrible. Every shot is an adventure. I'm okay with a young guy getting a shot. Give the starts to Taylor who earned the #1 job in Abbortsford with great play and hence earned himself an NHL contract. Just because he wasn't a first round pick, doesn't mean he can't develop into something.
