Wow, ignored this for the most part but decided to take a peek and am unbelievably excited for this. If my sister and I are looking to split the game, any chance of loading on multiple computers? Or is this the usual 'disk must be inside' game?
It's an Origin game that is available for digital download, so I highly doubt you will be required to have the DVD in the drive to play. BUT, you will have to share an Origin account and only one of you can play at a time (it's an always connected to the internet game). I haven't actually tried this with Origin, but assuming it is the same as Steam, you can run your game on any computer as long as you login with your credentials and "approve" of the new computer via email.

You can load the game on multiple computers. The game is attached to your Origin account, no need for a disc. So, you won't be able to play at the same time with only 1 copy of the game but you could alternate.

This is basically the future of gaming and how the industry has decided to deal with pirating.
You should expect most games coming out from now on will be online only.
But I'm guessing if I get the pirated version I will be able to play it offline. Go figure.

That's what people actually do, there are some Diablo 3 server emulators out there (though not sure of the quality).
Heck there's server emulators for WoW.
Not sure if there'll be enough interest in SimCity for people to want to make a server emulator, but it could be simple enough to do so that someone will.
