Default The State Of The Union...

may be the biggest kiss ass display I have ever seen. It also makes a hell of an exercise regime for those in attendence as if Obama so much as cuts a fart they get up and applaud. It just seems so fake.

The state of the union is all about the image of solidarity in the US government. The President usually does make one or two large declarations each year- so far some big things have been proposals for free daycare, increased minimum wage, and gender neutral pay structures. These have all been mentioned before though, so nothing new.

Doesn't matter who the President is, it goes that way.

Holy crap, Obama has nothing on this Republican guy from Florida giving the Republican response. This guy comes off as a total joke and a Massengill special. He reminds me of one of those cheap tv lawyers that will get money for you!

Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. that's exactly what he was doing ... More like he was playing on the emotion of a tragic event so he can further his own personal political agenda. If you don't mind it, then that is fine but don't pretend like it was something it wasnt . Its sick and disgusting and both parties do it... Rubio just did it to.

If that is Rubio, a lot of people are behind him running for POTUS as early as 2016, but I think he is still pretty young.

Im pretty sure that's not where he was talking about letting people vote in a fair and timely manner. It was well after President Obama proposed the U.S. spend more money they don't have on a task force to fix the voting system so people didn't have to stand in line.

It was the segment of his address where he was speaking about congress passing gun control laws and then used stories of kids who had been shot , "one girl who even lived 1 mile from his house in Chicago ( which I highly doubt) , to play on emotions to say "They deserve the vote." I thought it was sickening but that's just me. I also thought Rubio using his late father and sick mother to bash Obama and his medicare fix sickening as well... just so you don't think I am just piling on President Obama.

So since you obviously were on the wrong page here, I accept your apology in advance BTW you can take your snarky gun comment and ... well blow it out ... well you know..... Ohhh Just funnin .

Sounds like he should have borrowed the state of the union address from that micheal Douglas movie The American President

Apology for what? Get over it. I was referring to voter suppresion the whole time and you know it. Considering the GOP already stole one election in 2004 and tried damned hard to rig the latest one, why shouldn't it be an issue? As for the families of gun violence in attendance, right on. Call it exploiting tragedy? If its a start to putting the brakes on your nation's sickening, destructive, and pointless gun culture, then its a good thing. Far better than mindless repetitive second amendment posturing from idiots that can't even see that their love of owning personal arsenals is one of the things that is tearing your country apart. Ah, but who the hell cares as long as I gots my guns...

Is this the first SOTU you've watched? It's always a kiss kiss clap clap display.

Sentence > Clap > Sentence > Clap > Sentence > "YOU LIE!" (2009 SOTU) > Sentence > Clap...

It's been like that forever...
