Exactly. He's proved me wrong before but eventually he's going to fall well short of his usual goal totals. This may be the year. But it's a huge failing of the team if we still need to rely on 36 year old Iginla to provide the bulk of our offence. I know they've tried to address this with some of their acquisitions though.
His style of play doesn't really lend itself to longevity IMO. Maybe if he molded himself into a positional shooter but I haven't seen him get too many opportunities to wire a clear one timer at net so far this year. Generally it seems like he's stuck along the perimeter or well covered in the slot.
Personally, he sometimes looks like he knows he needs to adjust his game in order to remain effective offensively but is struggling to figure out exactly how.
