Well I think it's safe to call it both. A soft play by Iginla plus a bad bounce plus the Wild cashing in with some skill there.
Game certainly not over, but the Flames are trying to force things like nice passes.

have you seen the pressure the wild have on him? He's the all-time leading scorer against the wild, and they know that. Honestly, i'm a bit suprised that there havn't been any interference calls in Calgary's favor by the way Iginla is being targeted.

What i'm doing is not odd. What you are doing to try to prove a point against the face of the franchise, however, is.

You believe wrong.
Stats after 2.
#12 leading forwards in ice time, as always. And until that changes, this team will continue to go nowhere.

Flames looked good that period - much more entertaining than Wild games of recent years. Not hella entertaining, but more entertaining than they used to be. I love the fact the Flames are taking risks and being creative in their passing all over the ice. That's a much better use of skill than simply making safe, high percentage plays all the time.
I expect them to come back and win this the way they've been going.

We are used to Iggy dialing in the first two months of the season... we just obviously cant afford it this season.
The difference this year from prior years is, we have the pieces of a good team, if we could actually get a good return for the guy.
What burns me the most about the guy, who is supposed to be such a heart and soul player, is when he is awful, its generally because he appears to not even be trying.

I always say this, but we needed to score at least one to win this game anyways, so I still am hoping we tie it up at least in the third. I have a feeling though that if we get one the play will open up and we will be able to get a few in the third.

Right when the Flames looked to be getting their sh## together too.

..and a ######ed move by Irving too. Watching the replay was pretty awkward. You can tell he was just thinking "Where am I sliding too, and why did I initiate this slide?", as he slid gracefully towards the corner of the rink.

The Iginla haters couldn't wait for a play like that. Unlucky, but they'll use it as fuel for months.
This is what this fan base has become. They hope the team fails (certain players, specifically) so they can be proven right.
Worse than Canuck fans. Unbelievably entitled.

You're insane, I'm the biggest Iginla fan you're likely to find.
But I'm not afraid to call a spade a spade. He quit on that play, it's really unfortunate to see.

I'm sure that's true to an extent but it seems like he's getting some good matchups. Fourth line several times, for example. It's a home game after all.
