Brodie with the 3rd highest ice time in the game, great to see.

I actually feel bad for Hudler and Street having Iginla on their line at the moment. Iginla seems to be a step behind those guys as far as where the play is going. Pleasantly surprised with Street. For a small guy he is great along the boards.

Hartley needs to put the Czechs back together.

When Stajan started to score after his long drought last season is when he turned into a much better player and I like it.

I like the idea of cervenka and iginla maybe getting some sheltered minutes together down the lineup.

Don't know much about Irving as a person but he must have pretty strong character and mental skills. All the hoopla today...playing his first ever game at home, solid start. Good for him.

It was an okay period. Minnesota carried the play slightly more but the Flames were playing relatively strong and not backing down from physical play. Both teams a little bit on the perimeter in the offensive zone. The team that pushes that to the goal will win.

I think it's time to move Iginla off the first line for a game

Funny how not too long ago we were talking about the depth we have as a team. Next thing you know, 3 injuries to the forwards come by and we're struggling to get any sort of cohesiveness going. Of course, no small thanks to the 'top' players.

Is Tanguay even playing? I don't think I heard his name mentioned once.

Yup. And it's amazing how people would simply overlook this. The pressure on him must be unbelievable. That and it could have been so easy for him to just shut down and he didn't. Says a lot about his character.

Maybe people should begin to expect him to play more like 35 year old 2nd line Jarome instead of 26 year old 1st line Jarome.

I really can't see how they are faulting Irving. He's playing fairly well. You can clearly see his vision is there and he's following the play and reacting before the wild even know what they are doing.

Im not sold on him as an NHLer what so ever...but I have to agree.

Pretty impressive to flush out the rabble rabble of the day and be ready to just play tonight.

Yes. Irvings fault. No goals allowed, yet somehow Irving isn't playing well. Lmao.
