Exactly, thats why I would rather wait a few games before giving Irving too much credit. Not that the team played well but he does seem to let in the odd momentum changing goals.

Did we not hear this last year, year before last or 5 years in a row ? Did Iggy mentioned the team has a diarrhea?

Predicted the Flames would score first only to fall behind 4-1 and eventually pot a late one to make it 4-2.

Apparently even that was too optimistic. From the start the Flames were not confident and just plain scared of making a mistake tonight for whatever reason. There were moments where the team started to push the issue and you could see they had a better chance.

Other than that, really the entire team could not pull themselves out of the mud mentally and physically.

Irving played decent and for the most part made a number of saves when the team needed him. It just turned out that the team was relying on him heavily for basically 50 minutes of the game.

It really shows when Tanguay is center going against very skilled 1st line centers. I still think this team might be able to sneak into the playoffs, but the first line will get killed against the top teams of the conference.

Not only do i see Taylor in net the next game, I think Sarich and Babchuk will be in for Smith and Butler.

Thanks, cap'n Jarome Obvious Iginla.

Didn't find it worth pointing out to your team in the second intermission when there was still time?

Could be taken two ways. Classification of skill, or classification of sportsmanship. Obviously they never show sportsmanship.. ever. Skill wise, they are better and always have been better for the past 5 or so seasons. Maybe more. Probably more.

It's plain as day to me. Iginla cannot playa puck possession game. it needs to. Be on his stick-in the back of the net or on his stick-into the corner because he is killing puck possession time for his linemates.

You might see Sarich and Anton, but you won't ever see Taylor as a starter. If they don't feel that Irving is capable of winning the odd game they will trade for someone.

There's a reason why the Canucks have won back-to-back President's trophies and made it to game seven of the finals. They're a talented squad with loads of depth.

With the injuries, a win in Vancouver was pretty dammed unlikely.

Four of six points on the road ain't bad.

Taylor playing is not going to happen. They will play Irving until Kipper comes back (possibly Wednesday)

This game does not bode well for us gaining any respect from panels/CBC/analysts around the league. The HNIC guys were probably just waiting for a trip up like this to hound us and make us sound terrible, and in the process glorify the opposition-in this case, Van.

I'm so glad that I watched the bits that I saw with inaudible volume. It probably sounded like Canucks' pre cup parade show with "those vet hatin' guys from CBC".

And I likely would have broken something.

That game had all the intensity of a public skate. Flames skill guys were crap, and damn this group is soft.
