I find Maher is a lot like Cole now. Old and fudges up a lot of plays and never gets names right. Still like him 'cause of the history and his voice, but his play calling skills have seriously deteriorated.

Im lovin that seemingly everyone in the media is thinking the Flames are among the worst teams in the NHL...other teams will start believing it as well....makes them easy prey.

Why? His wife dying totally pushed him over the edge. Watch Cherry before and after his wife dying and you can easily see that's when he started his slide toward dementia. I am not commenting on his wife in the slightest, but her dying has certainly had a negative affect on Cherry's sanity.

I knew Jim Hughson loved the Canucks but wow, he's turned it up to 11 in the off season. I liked how he said the Canucks are playing well right now because this is the time of year good teams play well, so even though there are teams with better records than the Canucks, the Canucks are clearly the best.

All this bias makes me glad to be a flames fan tbh. I'm Scottish and my football team is Dundee united and they're regarded a bit like the flames. Makes it all the sweeter when we get it right up them
