I think its legit.

Think ailing in it's traditional sense... in poor health, sickly.

I mean, our starting goaltender is out, one of our leading scorers and best centermen.

We are ailing.

Honestly, the period was pretty even in terms of quality possession. Canucks certainly had more attack zone time but it's not like they were piling up scoring chances either.

I love HNIC but these guys sound like complete morons. Basically no mention of the Flames injuries up front while the Canucks are certainly missing their whole second line. Happy for Ben Street and everything but he shouldn't be the only Flames player being talked about on a national broadcast. Embarrassing.
Positionally the Flames were pretty good in that period, too many turnovers near the blue line.

I loved how Hugheson stated, I really believed that Vancouver would have lit it up offensively.

I guess we are the Barry Horowitz of the NHL

Stock calling the Flames in the basement of the standings, no mention that they have the fewest games played and 3-4 in hand over most opponents.

According to PJ Stock, the Flames are at the "bottom of the league" because they only have 8 points, but I guess playing the least games of all teams isn't a factor...
