Hahaha Ok GL, I know you hate the Green Lantern movie, we all do. But Reynolds is definitely not the reason it sucked. In fact, he's the only reason its kind of tolerable.
That said I agree they dont need a Han Solo origin movie. The character is legendary already.

And trolling me by not letting Ryan play the role he was born for.

I'd love to see the Darth Bane trilogy made into films. Anyone else?

I've said that below, the Bane trilogy is probably the best written series of books in the Star Wars EU with the exception of the Dark Lord series "Labyrinth of evil", "Revenge of the Sith", "Dark Lord rise of Vader"
Bane is an amazingly great evil protagonist.
Raised in a mine by an abusive father, murders a Republic Trooper, joins the Sith Army, then is spotted as a force potential and trained at the Sith Academy. Realizes that the Sith are weak and corrupted and creates the rule of two and exterminates the Sith and takes himself and his apprentice into self exile where they start the Grand Plan.
He was powerful and evil and smart and strong.
It would be hard finding someone who can play that and is a huge muscled Giant with agility and grace. However Scarlett Johannson would be perfect physically to play his apprentice Darth Zannah.

You called? He lives his life a quarter mile at a time.
I think if Vin Diesel was in a Star Wars movie it would be the final straw for me and I'd have to jump off a bridge or something.

The only thing bad about Vin Diesel is his name. Because of the name he chose he will never be taken seriously. I see no reason why he couldn't play an awesome Sith badass (Im pretty unfamiliar with any of the Expanded Universe, but I'll watch movies anytime anywhere) but no wants to see Star Wars starring Vin Diesel. Because it sounds lame.

Let's be honest. They could cast Woody Allen as the lead role and everyone would still go watch it.

You sound as though you expect that they will cast a real person and not just CGI-in a space jockey from Prometheus if they do a Darth Bane character.

Not big enough based on the book, think Tom Hardy sized but with more menace.
Sad thing is Vin Diesel has done a couple of really strong acting jobs but he's totally a schlock actor now.

That's why I wouldn't cast Tom Hardy.
Plus he's a bit too baby faced

If you just want muscles, get the Rock. It'd be like a Terminator role for him.

I don't know if I was against it, I couldn't imagine it, and to be honest I thought he wasn't stunningly great in the role but a part of that was the muffle mask and talking like he had a mouthfull of marbles.
