The Oilers have to be concerned that even with a hot powerplay and outstanding goaltending early on, that they just lost 4 in a row.
What happens when the powerplay starts to stumble? Or if their goaltenders start showing their true colors?

They've lost five in a row.
They're still garbage.

I'd be shocked if we aren't last or 2nd last in the league. I think it was pretty obvious that they wouldn't sustain their PP or PK since they've generally been a bad special teams team the past decade.

Or maybe the Oilers have done a reversal on us. Maybe they're all about defence now with great goaltending, limited offence.

If they aren't competitive soon with the top end talent they have, that's a pretty large fail.

Really? How can you say that? There is no real talent in taking first overall picks. All they did was look at Hockey News/McKenzie's pre-draft lists and took the guy they had ranked first (all three years).
After those 3 (who may not be the best players taken in the draft anyway), who else have they drafted that has accomplished anything, or looks like they might? Eberle obviously, but after that they really have done nothing. Sure guys like Klefbof might turn out to be a solid player, but that has yet to be proven.
Don't give them credit for taking Hall, Hopkins, or Yakupov. A brain dead coma patient(who would still be an improvement over Kevin Lowe) could have made the same selections.

I don't even give them credit for that, they should have taken Seguin.

I wonder how many years of this it will take before the media turns on their little blue and copper darlings?

Where is the "I'm always here!" guy?
hahaha what a joke of a team. I bet they couldn't beat the 4 best teams in the AHL in a best of 7 series.

As good as the supercore is, they were barely a playoff team in the AHL.
