Not really an opinion, but I live beside one of the largest skating rinks in the world, and never skate on it.
I'm so envious of that. My skates have been used once since moving out of NE China and just sit by the door now. Shanghai is no good for skating and it's what I miss most about the NE.

And certainly plays well to all the left wing Liberals and NDP here on CP who probably make a yearly pilgrimage to Montreal to pay homage at the grave of PET (Canada's Socialist of the Century).
Actually we go to Montreal cause its a wicked awesome city. Here's an unpopular opinion (to those who haven't been)
Summer In Montreal is 50 times better and more fun than Stampede week. Stampede week is just called any other week in Montreal during the summer. F1 week puts Stampede to shame.

I absolutely LOATHE the Stampede. Worst few days of the summer. Well, except Calaway is dead because most everyone is at Stampede, so the kids love going there for the day, when it's on.

Love Montreal and won't get into a silly us vs them debate, Montreal might win on strip clubs alone but Calgary has gotten a crap tonne better slowly over the last decade. There is always something going on in Calgary in the summer, it's Seriously not hard to find things here. Last summer I remember having two weekend trips planned and wishing I had stayed because their was something I missed and wanted to do.
I'll usually do my one visit to the Stampede but it hardly defines most peoples summers.

I don't see much difference between Nickleback and the Foo Fighters.
The only difference is Nickleback doesn't try and put on a edgy post-grunge rock persona. They are generic crap and they embrace it. The Foo Fighters try and pretend they are more than generic crap and the sad thing is that some people believe they actually are.

Within the context of Calgary 1999 versus Calgary 2009 for instance, Calgary has become more vibrant for sure. But compared to most other major cities, Calgary is still exceptionally boring. No major city should have such a dead downtown after 8pm. After 8 is when the downtown should come to life, not go to sleep.

I always like a Foo Fighters song when I hear them individually. It wasn't until I listened to a whole album start to finish that I came to the realization that all their songs song pretty much the same.
Perfect post for this thread. If they are the really small ones and correctly prepared, they're tolerable. The bigger ones can absolutely ruin an otherwise good meal.
Unpopular opinion: batman begins is the best of the three Christopher Nolan batmans, while having the worst female lead. dark knight rises is the worst of the three and has the best female lead.

I don't think Furries are weird. Ok, maybe they are weird, but they shouldn't be shunned. There are so many groups hellbent on suppressing sexual desire and expression, and I applaud anyone who is willing to explore their kinks openly.
Foo Fighters are better than Nickelback for these reasons, end of story.
-More dynamic songs
-Better lyrics
-Better singers
-Better Harmonies guitar/vocals
-Been in the industry longer
-Dave Grohl, multi talented, and now having a go at film making-Sound City documentary.
-Taylor Hawkins is a great drummer.
The Dave Clark Five is one of the best bands ever. Much of their music was on par with the work of the Beatles. (I suspect most of the people on CP don't know or hardly know of this fine group, although in their day they were very popular for parts of their career.) They're under-appreciated by the boomer generation.
