Its odd, but I think his passing has been the worst part of his game so far. His goal vs Anaheim was a result of him throwing a pass into Iginla's knees and then recovering the puck. He's only set Iggy up with a legitimate one-timer a few times so far, I assume its the transition to centre and not having the same time and space to do so.
His shooting has been the best its ever been though and his overall game is improving constantly. He actually looks suitable as the #1 centre so far!

Maybe, more likely it is Iginla forgetting that he is allowed to skate on offense. Doesn't skate with the puck and now, seems to just try to hide somewhere and wait for a pass.
you guys noticed him poking the puck to Gio for the Flames fourth goal in Detroit? He didn't get credit with the assist either. I wonder if the NHL will correct that or did he just not touch it at all?
I read yesterday that they added Tanguay and Cammy as assisting that goal. 3pt night for Cammy.

Iginla has never been a great stick handler, he's always been the guy who finds open ice and would rather only have the puck on his stick for a split second.

Not this season. He's been dangling and stickhandling like he's on the ODR all season. I've actually been very impressed with his hands this year.

Iginla tried stickhandling and dangling when Sutter was around, but more often then not it resulted in a loss of possession. Not too sure why, but he seems to be thriving upon it this season.
I honestly think Iggy practised his stickhandling more then any other area this offseason. His control compared to the last couple of seasons is a night and day difference.
Anybody else see Tanguay throw his elbow to the head of some BG player?
I guess he's done it before but last night it was a solid hit and the player went down. Not that I'm condoning this but it shows his feistyness. There's also some past history with the BJs Jared Boll.
He does seem to be thriving at the center ice position. Glad to see it. For a long time, with his passing abilities, I felt that where he should always be playing.
Darren Haynes @DarrenHaynes_CP1h Of the 773 skaters to play in NHL this year, only 11 rank below Cammalleri, Tanguay (-12) in plus-minus. One of them is Olli Jokinen (-15).

And some posters on here think that the Pens or Bruins would be willing to give up first round picks for these bums.

On a team like the Bruins and Pens where they would be the sole weak link defensively on the ice for the team probably works a little better than being just 1 of 5 guys in a system which seems to ignore defense totally.

Why choose to add a weak link when you don't have any reason to?
They are trying to dump a weak link in peverley, not add another one.

Because the cost of adding top level offensive and defensive guys is way too much.
I am sure if Detroit wants to give up Datsyuk or Zetterberg for the cost of Tanguay the Bruins will be dealing with Red Wings while telling Calgary to pound sand.
