The Flames can only earn 16 points though. Maximum. It's not rocket surgery.

That would have been sick. Great to see the Flames play with some creativity this year.

Insufferably negative. I honestly do not understand why you're even here. Flames had to make it to 500 before they could move beyond it. You act like the season is already over. I see the Flames adapting to a totally new system, a new coach, integrating several new players without a real training camp, and overcoming adversity while giving us some real major league entertainment. You on the other hand just want to act smug. You disgust me.

Barring a huge comeback by Phoenix, the Flames will end the night tied for 9th in points percentage in the western conference.

Glencross really needs to delete Jokinen's number from his phone. Some serious voodoo going on there.

3-1-1 with the SO loss being undeserved ( should have been a win), and the regulation loss a game that despite Kipper playing awful, was tied with three minutes to go.

Not to be a negative Nancy or anything, but this is kind of a pet peeve of mine. The Flames aren't really .500 because they have won 3 games out of the 8 they have played, and lost 5 out of the 8 games they have played. If a team's record is considered .500 or better only if it doesn't take into account overtime and shootout losses, then probably 75% of the league is playing ".500 hockey" or better.
The Flames are .500 in non-shootout games if that makes people feel better.

The Flames have three wins, three losses, and two ties. How is that not .500?

The players themselves call it 500 so why can't we??
Move on and enjoy the win.

lol, I don't think anything on here makes me as frustrated as the stupid "500" argument, and the lunk heads that can't seem to figure out that:
1) POINTS ARE WHAT MATTERS
2) WHEN A TEAM HAS EARNED HALF OF THE POINTS THEY POSSIBLY COULD HAVE, THEY ARE .500
!!!
lol
