i'd just like to point out Irving has more points than Comeau on the season.

Exciting end to the game. Can't find my post, but looks like my prediction was accurate to the score/OT.

Bound to get one of them right once in a while.

Irving wasn't great but it doesn't matter - all that matters is the win.

Now he can build off that

Please God let Backlund be ok (but I have a bad feeling)

Yeah, 27 of those shots were kind of awful.

Have to hope Backlund and Cammalleri are back soon.

Another strong game by Brodie at both ends of the ice. More impressed by his defensive zone play than anything.

Jones has been terrific in the role as energy centre. Would love to see a guy like Byron on his wing instead of Comeau.

Big 2 points to make Saturday's game v. Vancouver a gravy game.

Pretty much a complete domination by the Flames. They were all over the Blue Jackets from about ten minutes in through to the ten minute mark of the third. Thought they were a little flat late which was in part due to the bench getting awfully thin with Backlund out.

Hudler was the most deadly Flame tonight and really is the most dominant puck possession Flame since Huselius. He was in the offensive zone pretty much every shift all night. Loved Cervenka and Backlund with Hudler and then of course Backlund gets hurt or whatever. Cervenka was really good tonight with really great positioning. Has very good hockey sense in the offensive zone.

Didn't think Iginla and Tanguay were all that great but awesome to see them connect in ot.

Thought the Flames D did an outstanding job on the offensive side of things throughout the night and it was a big factor to the team maintaining pressure throughout the game.

Thought Comeau had a decent game for a change.

Brodie was good again and was really impressed with his battle in the D zone into transition for the OT goal. He and Wideman look very good together. Love Wideman. Plays with a ton of confidence, moves the puck very well and actually fires the puck on net.

Irving is fine but I think his glove is very weak and Columbus seemed fully aware of this scoring two on that side.

The Flames are usually pretty bad in Columbus but hard to be anything but very pleased with tonight. Didn't like the fact that the BJ's came back to tie it quick both times the Flames had the lead and even had an opportunity to win late on the powerplay. Flames were several goals better than those losers and hopefully anyone who picked the team to finish last was watching. This team looks more like Keenan teams than Sutter teams in that they generate quite a bit of offense but are not all that sound on the defensive side of things. There is a lot of offensive depth and the blueline is fairly capable.

Back to your cave fanboy, Irving did tonight what your hero couldn't for the past 1.5 years and that's get two points in OT on the road.
