Very non-problematic. Acid free matte is a no brainer, and a good artist's pen is available at any
proper art supplies store. I guess it helps that my wife is an artist. You get it framed properly (i.e. not in a Wal-mart frame or at Michaels), and keep it out of direct sunlight (a rule for
any original artwork). The cost to do it right is not extravagant by any stretch..
Here is a crappy phone picture of ours after 13+ years. It hangs in our main hallway. Nothing is faded, the pen colour is silver.
