In other news....what in the sweet hell was Joe Hart doing?
What was he thinking? Guy is 40 yards out, leave him alone, your two defenders have tons of room and time to make a challenge and if he gets by them then you'll be..............in the net!
They obviously thought they had things wrapped up. Only reason to blood Shawcross and Jenkinson, two rookie internationals while the wily Hamren wasnt taking Ibra off.
That said though, if you are Carlo Ancelotti or Erik Hamren your head is in your hands right now. Ibrahimovic isnt going to listen to a damn thing you say for the rest of the year.

#AFC's Carl Jenkinson is on England's bench for their game against Sweden, indicating he has received FIFA clearance.
Want to know why England isnt going to win anything? When you're begging Carl Jenkinson to play your squad depth is a bit thin.
He's actually come quite a way from the player that walked into the Emirates a couple seasons ago. Many Arsenal supporters thought he didn't belong but are now beginning to see what Arsene spotted. He's got a fair bit of potential but even more heart and that's going to take him far.

Are you sure Sterling is playing for England? that set up to Zibra was delish
1-0 Sweden
I don't think the back 4 is weak outside Johnson
Cahill has been good for Chelsea, Caulker will probably be starting for England for the next decade, Baines isn't Cole but he's one of the best LBs in the world considering the weakness of the position
I hate to rag on you because you're generally reasonable and an overall knowledgeable poster, but something about this I felt needed to be pointed out.
You said the same thing about Kyle Walker last year. Unless you're really looking at the long-game.
I just briefly watched some of the match, Caulker was good, but not Johnson good, and thats not good.

Brazil has got to have the most anal FA in the world.
Quote:
SAO PAULO -- Luiz Felipe Scolari is expected to be named as the new Brazil coach, returning to the national team 10 years after leading the country to the 2002 World Cup title.
He would replace Mano Menezes, who was fired last week after Marin said he didn't like the coach's methods.
Others reportedly in the running for the job were Corinthians coach Tite, former Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and Fluminense coach Abel Braga, who led his team to the Brazilian league title this year. Santos coach Muricy Ramalho, who turned down the Brazil job because of club commitments in 2010, reportedly was also in the running.
Marin fired Menezes saying he wanted the national team to head in a different direction. The coach led Brazil to 21 victories, six losses and six draws since replacing Dunga in 2010, but he was marked by disappointing results against traditional rivals such as Germany, France, Argentina and the Netherlands. He also failed to win the Copa America and failed to win Olympic gold, which is the only football trophy the five-time world champions haven't won. Sanchez, the former president of Brazilian club Corinthians, had criticized the president's decision to fire Menezes because the coach had already established his methods. Sanchez delivered his resignation letter to Marin on Tuesday.
International Friendly day and theres some good ones.
Germany vs. France
- Germany fielding a fairly young and weakened team without Marco Reus, Mario Gotze, Miro Klose, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Marcel Schmelzer.
England vs. Brazil
- I have a feeling that the English FA wants to make this a big game but the players dont care. We're either going to get a cagey snoozefest or Brazil are going to thump them.
Spain vs. Uruguay
- How are Spain going to handle a pretty tough Uruguay team without Iker Casillas, Xavi and Xabi Alonso?
Netherlands vs. Italy
- Of interest to Canadian fans, does Jon de Guzman permanently tie himself to the Dutch campaign today, thus ending the long, drawn-out saga that makes the Canadian FA consistently look like chumps?
Sweden vs. Argentina
- Ibra vs Messi. Only for a little while. Both coaches have stated that these two will likely only play half the game because of upcoming Champions' League matches. Now, will we see some wily tactics and see them play the opposite half?
