Guys its not really snowballing unless Kerr chewed it a couple of times and spit it into Simmers mouth.
This was more of an awkward wedding cake thing

hahaha. where is Eddybeers and his Sutterdefense koolaid?
This team is soooo much better than the team we had for the past 3 years.... what a waste!
and i missed the 3rd period. Was Bouwmeester just as good in the 3rd? he is making Giordano look like one of the 5 Giordano's the Oilers have.
Great fricking set of games by Bouwmeester.

A little further back on the thread. Kerr ate one of Zetterberg's Swedish Snowballs and Simmer tried to feed it to him. AC made a gif of it

Kerr wanted to put his volcano in Simmer's trunk.

More distrubing was Kerr destroying that snowball, then offering the remains to Simmer. Charlie seemed to be caught of guard and was like not that one.
Dennis Wideman has been money all season long, and being upset with the money he got, he might be first defenceman we have signed, who is living up to his contract in a long time. When the puck is on his stick its not being chucked around like a gernade, hes calm and makes a play with it every time.
Cervenka is going to be real good, the plays he makes with the puck, holding it instead of just shooting into bodies, or dumping it away, its like watching Red Wing hockey.
Iginla looked really good, and his speed has not gone away at all, he was getting behind the Detroit D everytime going up ice.
Has anyone also noticed that the team looks much better in the D Zone this year? We do get hemmed in for periods, but its not as bad as last year where the first sign of distress they panic. Its much more organized and keeping things to the outside and blocking shots.

Good game from the Flames. Not as dominant as the Chicago game but the bounces went their way tonight. Comeau has to fight harder to get the puck out on that PK. You could tell he knew it was his fault after Franzen scored. There were periods where Calgary was running around in their zone and consequently, coverage was a little suspect. Flames were great with their sticks and blocking shots during the game. I was quite impressed. Lastly, Wideman has been a great addition. His ability to hold the puck in at the zone and get pucks through to the net is something this team has been missing for a long time. Brodie is improving each game and I think he will continue to do so under Wideman’s tutelage.

Oh buddy, I am right here willing to admit that the Flames are a rock solid 2-3-2 after their first 7 games. Ya, this team looks so much better, the standings do not lie.

Babcock thinks they are playing better and have a better system, but what does he know, right?

Is there a quote where he said that the Flames have a better system and they are playing better? I would hate to think that you completely made something up....

Put down the Sutter koolaid watch any of the 7 games this year and tell me it's not better than what we got for the past 3 years.

Have to give a shout out to the Detroit FSN crew. They put together a really good broadcast. Love the commentators, preferred that broadcast to the SN broadcast with Kerr and Simmer. The addition of Larry Murphy at ice level was really good as well. He provided some good positive insight for both teams.
If you have the chance on Gamecenter check out the first period on the Detroit feed.

This team has been much better then the Sutter incarnations.
The team is 2-3-2 through seven games but with any sort of luck (or goaltending "Colorado cough cough") could have been 4-2-1.
The margin of error really has been that small for the Flames this year, and really outside of the first 2 games there has not been a game that the Flames clearly deserved to lose.

I will just wait until the end of the year to determine whether the Flames are a better team or not. Although I fully expect Bertuzzied to come in here full of mocking glee each and every time the Flames win a game, unfortunately that has only been twice so far this year.
