Under the Heat, yes. But not the Flames.
3 contract spots open for that possibility, if needed.

@SUNRandySportak: For what it's worth, #Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff walked out of the room without a brace or cast or crutches.

I was kind of wondering this too... Kipper was getting ran over a lot out there... But then I thought to myself "Why in the hell would they pull Kipper being up only two goals with a whole period left to play." Maybe Hartley seen enough interference and decided to go with Irving to save a injury to Kipper, and if that was the case that's a pretty ballsy move... I'm guessing he does have some sort of injury...

So Ramo is playing this season in the KHL cause we didn't have a full season, and then he'll come over?

I missed the game. Was it as dominant as a performance as the score suggests?

I wouldn't be surprised if Kipper just got a small cut or maybe pulled/tweaked something. Hell, maybe something just didn't feel quite right so the Flames decided to give him the 3rd period off and they'll see how he feels tomorrow.
If it was serious I doubt he would have finished the period. I'd honestly be surprised he's out for more than a week.

Flames dominated the 1st period and were full marks for the 2-0 lead. Got into some penalty trouble in the 2nd and that swung momentum in Detroit's favor. Det gets a goal, but Wideman scores with 25 seconds left in the period and that was the turning point.
Irving comes out in the third and Detroit tried to push, but they never really threatened like they used to and only threw 6 shots Leland's way and Flames held on in the third in a very ho-hum fashion. Gio scores late and Flames skate to a 4-1 win.
Very deserving, great road game, not dominating like Saturday's performance but a good enough one to get the 2 points in relative comfort.

@SUNRandySportak: I didn't see a noticeable limp when Kiprusoff walked. That said, he walks a little funny all the time, anyway, with a bit of a hitch.
@dankinvigsports: If #Flames look to #Abbotsford to sign another goalie, my money's on Danny Taylor.

Flames win and this thread reaches 6 pages after 45 mins.
Flames lose and it would have already reached 18 pages.
It's a really sad reality for CP.

If the Flames win 3-4 more games in a row that will change. People are understandably skeptical, and maybe in a little shock that Calgary played so well. I personally think they played a better game than vs. the Hawks. More steady, sustained attack, no panicking in their own zone, and of course Kipper was much better. Overall a far better team game tonight.

2 great games in a row against good teams. This edition of the Flames can play. There are enough good NHLers on the roster to make the Flames a playoff team.
It'll be about consistency but so far I actually think the consistency has been pretty good, just a few unlucky results.
