He's awkward tonight. Using the wrong tense for different verbs to describe the play. Maybe it was a long flight to Detroit.

Snickers looks seriously dangerous in the NHL, cant believe he hasn't scored yet.

Moon still wouldn't want Wideman on the Flames....

He makes our team better. Plain and simple. And is decent defensively.

His name does not mesh with his game.

When clearly took the holding penalty, the red wings broadcast showed bertuzzi grabbing onto the flames players jersey holding tying up hudler and the announcer's where whining about how it was a weak call.

then they noticed it was cleary in the box and there was 10 seconds of silence.

Im watching on Center Ice, which always seems to be a few seconds delayed from these forums, so I've stayed away to avoid spoilers....

Now that it's intermission, I have to say...

What terrible refing that period! Both ways, two of the worst calls I've seen this season.

It's great seeing the Flames put together all these passes, forecheck tenaciously, and use their sticks to great effect breaking up plays all over the ice.

What's even better is seeing that they're not firing on all cylinders yet though - plenty of miscommunication, drop passes to no one, that kind of thing. Once they're fully in sync, and the last out of shape stragglers get up to speed, I think we'll really enjoy watching them.

Also, this Wideman-Brodie-Bouwmeester-Giordano thing on the back end is really fixing a lot of the offensive woes of the past - great break out passes all night.

Simple question to anyone on the forums...

Who would you rather have right now, Wideman, or Phaneuf...

Would anyone, anywhere, pick Phaneuf?

Yeah I dont think a player would dive on a breakaway? That makes no sense! Oh I already have the scoring chance in front of me but I think Ill dive so I can have more time to think my shot through...
