Default Superbowl 47...the thread

So who ya got?

I cant see a way the Ravens hold the 49ers to a low enough point total to win the game.

27-20 SF.

Logic and hope says the 49ers will win; but gut says karma will be ignored and the Ray Lewis Show will get the win. God that man is annoying

Two very unlikable teams makes it hard to want to watch or choose a team to cheer for, but I think that the 49ers are the much better team. Ravens very lucky to be here and I think the 49ers DB's will be able to handle Flacco's chuck and pray passing.

I think it will be a boring sloppy game with SF winning 20-13.

I want the guy from The Blind side to win a ring. Oher and the Ravens for the win.

Plus i cant stand Kapernicks goofy faux beard. If he wins and i end up seeing more of hat, ill puke.

Ravens 30-21. Nobody is talking about Flacco, he'll outclass a nervous Kapernick in the big game.

And for you guys.

Is it stupid to wear your team Jersey to a pub or party when your team isn't in it. Usually it is but for some reason I thought Super bowl was the exception.

27-20 49ers

Yeah can't see Baltimore keeping up with SF, but had them losing to the Colts in a mild upset in the WC, so what do I know.

That said, if Baltimore watched the beatdown SF got in their last loss, from Seattle (man if they beat Atlanta they would've had a great chance of playing today), 6 weeks ago, on the defensive side as a way to neutralize Kapenerick, they'll have a chance. Rice will have to run the ball effectively so that Flacco can take his shots downfield.

Hoping for a Ravens win, however.

The annual complaints about the promos for CTV shows and the odd Canadian-Superbowl-specific commercial will exist, but the more agonizing part is going to be having to listen to Nantz and Sims stumble through the broadcast. Sims with his cliched and half asleep analysis, and Nantz trying to create feel good stories in the same flowery manner he does for golfers in The Masters. They're, IMO, maybe 3rd on the list of CBS broadcast teams as far as actually calling an interesting and enjoyable game.

Eagle/Fouts and Gumble/Dierdorf IMO are ahead of them.

My initial thought after the championship games was a 49ers win. I've now spent the past 2 weeks convincing myself otherwise.

Flacco gets his deep shots due to a not quite healthy 49ers front 4, and Ray Rice will be a major factor catching passes out of the backfield. I'll be rooting for the 49ers (which as a Saints fan, is extremely difficult), but I think the Ravens win 31-21.

I want to mention something these so called experts have failed to mention the last two weeks. The San Fransisco offense has struggled all year playing physical defenses. It didn't matter if it was Alex Smith or Colin Kaepernick playing QB. This Baltimore defense is about as nasty as they come and for first the time all season this has been the healthiest they have been. Also, lets not forget outside of those first two drives in Washington where the Skins scored, they didn't look that good for the rest of the game despite losing the game. I don't if that means anything but Baltimore was without their 3 starting LB's and their best run stuffer Haloti Ngata basically playing on one leg in that game in Maryland.

In their last four games San Fransisco has one first quarter score. The scores were the following after one, 21-0 Seattle, 6-0 Arizona, 14-7 Green Bay, and 17-0 Atlanta. If they stumble outta of the gate again tonight, running the ball likely isn't going to be an option, and I don't think Colin Kaepernick standing in the pocket having to throw the ball against a great mind like Ed Reed in the secondary is a good matchup for him.

We're due for a boring ass Super Bowl, and I think we'll get it. Unless the Ravens jump out to a big lead, I just don't see them being able to beat a 49ers team that is vastly superior physically and better in almost every phase. The X factor however is Joe Flacco could be playing for $20 million+ a season tonight. Ridiculous yes, but he thinks he's worth it and if he leads them to a Super Bowl someone is going to make that mistake.

I think this will go down as one of the Classic Super Bowls. Go Ravens.

I think it will be 27-24 49ers... Kaepernick gets one long run which proves to be the difference. He and Flacco both play well

Lets do this Niners!!

So jacked, so anxious.

I think it starts out lower scoring than anticipated, and the half time adjustments actually open the game up more in the 2nd half.

Gonna say something like 27-16 Niners.

I think it's going to be a shoot out. San Fran was exposed by Matt Ryan last week and with joe and his big arm and the speed of smith it's going to be a long night for San Fran.

37-31 Baltimore in overtime.

Rooting for Ray Lewis to finish with his 2nd ring. Think it's gonna be a tight game, either way.

Yeah, that helped Ryan run up all those 2nd half points in that game.

Ravens hopes rest on Boldin and short to intermediate routes. From what I have read, team tendencies seem to favour the 49ers.

31-17 SF

Is there a channel on Shaw that will be a direct US feed? Someone had told me CBS, but I would like to be sure.

Since it's the prediction I made in my Pop Culture course, I say 27-22 Ravens.

I just saw an interview with Ray Lewis in the pre-game bull$hit marathon.

Apparently, if the families of those murder victims "knew God" the way Ray does, they'd know he couldn't possibly be guilty.

I don't really care who wins this game, but a loss for the Ravens, this Lewis scumbag, and his misguided worshippers, would probably be the best turnout.
