Agreed. It was an exciting game to watch. They really turned it up a notch in the 3rd period.

I just don't get it. I can't possibly imagine how the players feel after this if as a fan I feel this way. Flames got screwed. They totally deserved a better fate.

The best game I've seen the Flames play in a few years! I guess we string 8 bad ones in a row now.

Heartbreaker but a great game to build off of. I can definitely get behind a team that shows that kind of perseverance! I know its all about the end result but if the Flames continue to play as they have in the past few games their fortunes have got to change. Love the choices in the shoot out as well....all of Calgary puck would have melted down had iginla shot first! We got a point out of a great team....build off that!

Caught up on DVR and the Flames absolutely dominated the Hawks. They are much better than their record would suggest. It easily could've been 9-1 Flames.

Anybody else just turn it off after the final whistle in OT?

Watching the Flames fail again and again in the skills competition over the last 9 seasons has something to do with it, but I can honestly say I never care to watch one in the NHL regular season ever again.

Not surprised to see they lost. It's too bad the game was decided in that way however, because they clearly deserved that extra point more than CHI did. Sigh.

Yeah, I remember the last few years it was a chore just watching the games. I doubt I watched 60 full minutes of more than 10 games last year.

This team is at the very least entertaining. That counts for something even if the score is the same.

hahaha. OK i was a little bit hard on Butler for missing that insane scoring chance in the 2nd. Well i take it all back tonite after watching Backlund and Glencross "try" to finish. hahahaha. I haven't seen such clutch choke in a long time!

Butler did great tonite! Can't wait till Sarich gets back in though.

Is Stock really saying that the Flames lost because they weren't physical?

Really?

Tanguay complaining about the ice. I think a formal complaint is in order.

We dominated them. Ray Emery had horseshoes in his behind.

Ray Emery played like it was 2006.

Glencross needs to learn how to raise, but other than that had a super human effort.

I liked the line combinations better tonight.

We might need to trade for another gritty forward that can fight. Jackman got pummeled tonight.

Game was very enjoyable (which made losing suck that much more).

Guys are in tough - need to get on a 4 game win streak to even think about making the playoffs.

Are you ****ing kidding? They are tied for 1st in the NHL and the Flames dominated them for 65 minutes tonight. Made them look like a kiddy team. And don't talk about fatigue, because the Avs went through the exact same thing and at least put up a little better fight. This is miles from a bad team, we've just gotten no justice whatsoever for outplaying our opponents, highlighted by tonight.

Yeah, talk about hard luck..

Also, too much pretty passing. Way too much. Just shoot the ####ing thing. Tanguay borderline should be benched because of this.

2nd straight game at home against a team playing their backup goaltender and 3 games on the road in 4 nights. 1 of a possible 4 points. I actually think the Flames are horrible as they just played two gassed teams and still couldn't manage a win. Wait until they go on the road and are the tired team. It's going to be ugly.

If it wasn't the Flames I wouldn't believe it. If they can't find a way to win this game they are even worse than I thought. Full two minute PP in OT, just another squandered opportunity. I hate Kane.
