Edit- sorry; it's only 50%. The news story talking about Kathleen Wynne being the sixth woman included the territories.

That reminds me, we used to jokingly say that 50% of all married couples are women, but that has changed.

"Politically correct" is basically code for "not being an insensitive jackass." Why is being inclusive and tolerant and considerate of others' feelings a bad thing? Most of the time, someone complaining about political correctness wants to say/do something offensive/rude/bigoted without being called on it.

Can't speak for everyone but wishing someone Happy Holidays doesn't annoy me at all, I do it myself at times. What is annoying is when you wish someone a Merry Christmas and then you get all the whiners and criers saying you should use Happy Holidays instead.
I've been told Happy Hanukkah by Jewish friends, returned the favor and took it as the pleasantry it was intended to be. If a person gets insulted by someone cheerfully wishing them a Merry Christmas then he/she is in desperate need of thicker skin.

I'm not particularly fond of hockey right now, 70% because of the lock out, 30% because the Flames aren't very good at it.

What's with all of the petty whining about play by play guys, colour etc. Who gives a crap? I could care less if it was Gilbert Gottfried calling the games. We get to see EVERY SINGLE GAME in HD. Enjoy it.

I like Don Cherry. I don't agree with everything he says, but he's entertaining and a symbol of hockey.

When I was a kid watching Hockey Night In Canada with my dad, I always thought Don Cherry was ######ed. I thought they let him on television because he was a 'special person' and they felt sorry for him. That's the truth.

Jarome Iginla is not a first line player anymore. The sooner Bob Hartley recognizes this, the better.
Adam Sandler should stop doing movies.
I would like to see a TV network called WET (White Entertainment Television)
On that note, I'd also like to see a parade for only Straight people.

Thanks to this, I have Gilbert Gottfried calling a game in my head right now. It's actually quite entertaining!

Sure you can, you just have to buy the liquor store or the bar version.

Why can't hockey games be broadcast without play-by-play or colour?
My favourite hockey watching experience was when the SRC producers went on strike and we got hockey on TV with the crowd sound only.
Then we wouldn't have complain about how crappy Kerr is. You wouldn't hear anything. I am watching the game. I don't need you to tell me what's going on.

I actually think Gilbert Gottfried is hillarious when he is doing his own thing.
Personally, I think the people calling the game should be 3 or 4 guys (or girls) with representation from each team, drinking beer and responding the same way normal people do. It would be much more entertaining than the conventional colour commentating system. Granted, the play-by-play would be nil.
