I'm not saying that being inclusive and tolerant and considerate of others feelings is a bad thing. I'm saying that they are just words.
We are pretty much at the point where saying something stupid/offensive is worse than doing something stupid/offensive. A co-worker of mine was fired for telling a Newfie joke at work. Three weeks later the lady who was the driving force behind getting him fired made a mistake that costed the company about fifty thousand dollars. She was not fired.
I just think we should be more tolerant of bad things that people say and less tolerant of bad things that people do.
Politically correct has gotten way out of control, you guys jumping on me like that proves me right.

"The Talmud" and "Kabbalah" are neither religious orders—like the Dominicans in the Catholic Church, or the Bhikkhu in Buddhaism, or the "Nazirites" mentioned in the Old Testament book of Numbers—nor are either of them clearly "pre-Christian". Our earliest sources for the Talmud—which is a huge collection of Jewish writings—and for "Kabbalah"—which is a form of Jewish mysticism are both early medieval.
As usual, you are full of crap and really have no idea what you are talking about.

People need germs to stay healthy.
Case in point, Aside from washing my hands after using the bathroom, I hardly ever do anything to avoid germs, and I have yet to get a cold or flu this winter. A girl I work with is OCD about germs, like won't touch doorknobs without having a paper towel in her hand and or scrubbing her hands afterwards with anti bacterial soap. She's definitely had the cold and flu this winter a few times. Like most people.
I saw her washing a grapefruit before cutting it yesterday and I asked what she was doing. She said the edge of the knife will pick up contamination from the skin and make it's way into the part she will eat. I don't eat grapefruits but when I have an orange I give it a cursory rub on my shirt and then use my teeth to rip the shell off.
so, people need to up their germ intake to stay healthier, not try to be like Howard Hughes.

People who don't like dogs going to a dog park. Yes I realize it is a public park for everyone, but if it is also an off leash park and you don't like dogs GTFO. My Golden loves to dart between people's legs, other dog people think it's hilarious, however I always get "get your dog away from me, he's getting fur all over my pants" from some prissy #####. Same goes for bikers on the trails at an off leash area.

No just general douchy-ness when a dog comes near them while they're riding.

i havent read this whole thread but i did read 30 pages when i decided to skip to the end.
I don't like BPL Football. Why do we have to be subjected to British Football when there is SO much better football out there than from BPL. Give me my Bundesliga any day of the week!
Las Vegas is my guilty pleasure. and the Stratosphere is my hotel of choice because they treat us so damn good when we go. 19 years and counting and almost 30 trips. I know that some of my retirement years will be spent there.
And after having met Jarome and how "disinterested" he was in meeting my kids, I dont get the love in for him. Great player, better asset..we should have traded him a year or two ago when the return would have been much greater than we will get today!

I love it when Textcritic fully explains his argument with a scholarly flair and then satisfies the masses by saying Mikey is full of crap. Its better than I would do. I would just say Mikey is full of crap without explanation.

I also wash things and sanitize rather frequently. I have an immune disorder so avoiding certain things is to my advantage (immune system is over active, so a nasty bug can cause me bigger issues). I get many nasty comments about why I should want 'germs'.
She might want to wash the skin because that is where her hands go, and from there to her mouth. Who knows.

You don't have to agree with Mikey's opinions, cause I don't think many people do, but there aren`t too many posters out there that are more entertaining than he is. You also have to commend him on his commitment to lunacy.

What was the location and circustance? I ask as I've met him with my kids before and he was great. He was the typical nice guy Jarome like every TV interview you see him in. This was away from the rink, in Kelowna actually during the summer, so outside of the rink and the NHL season where he didn't really have to go out of his way. Nice guy.
To add my 2 cents on unpopular opinions. Dion Phaneuf is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. My wife used to volunteer at the Childrens Hospital and he went out of normal Flames committment to really make a difference for tons of kids. Easily the most committed Flame to that cause and the void has yet to be filled after the trade. His girlfriend was big into the cause as well.

Tom Green is a very funny person.
Freddy Got Fingered was brilliant. The punchline was the movie itself.

When someone started complaining about germs, we used to say, "You'll eat a peck of dirt before you die, but don't eat it all at once".
