If Tanguay continues forcing passes to Iginla, then he's gotta get out of here. Need players with hocke iq, not a man-crush.

Hey, you only have to scroll up to find out how satisfied I am with this team. But Iginla hasn't been that bad. His overall game is better then I have seen in years.

He used to be one of the top 2-way players in the league. Starting with Keenan he transformed his game to be offensive only and it has hurt us.

This season he has turned on his 2-way game. I will take 2-way Iggy with fewer points everyday over offensive only Iggy.

That said, he is going to have to turn the light on sooner or later if this team wants to have any chance to turn it around. This team is build around Iginla and Kipper. This team is staying the course because of Iggy and Kipper. And if Iggy and Kipper aren't playing at a high level then this team is dead.

A lot of bitter, "told you so" saggy naggies on here tonight.

Now that they've ripped apart the poor few optimistic souls I'd better run before they turn on me for being semi-optimistic. :|

Well, that sure sucked. Butler and Kipper should feel shame.

Nah, i mean, i get that for sure. For quite a lot of the game it seemed like we'd be able to bear down on this Avs team for those reasons. Weird game for sure. Still early days.

Also, "top lime"...

Good old ipad autocorrect eh.

ps. man does Hartley say "like" alot. A drinking game based on that criteria would render me comatose within a few minutes.

Whatsat? Tanguay leads the team in points, goals, and is second in shots on net.

Lots to hate this season. But he ain't one of them.

Went to the game.

I'm still trying to understand WHY you would pull your goaltender, when you're already down by 2 with less than a minute remaining.

WHY!?!?! It was like salt in the wound! Ouch!

Only difference was that they folded in the regular season as opposed to the first round. Hell even the Canucks could win a round or two.....
It's pretty stunning that the Flames ownership has yet to see what is so obvious to the fans and hockey world. Either that or they are simply running their operation like the Leafs where butts in seats >>> winning Stanley Cups.

Lets ignore Giordano's horrible turnovers in game 1. Our the bad goal tending in every single game so far. And Bouwmeester's inability to clear on the PK. And every other bad thing that has happened this season.

Because if all of those bad things didn't happen we might not be in last place. Why are people so upset?
Not talking about anything besides tonight's game.

Just a guess, but probably because trying to win was more important than the GF/GA differential

Man even the Oilers can play defense. Giving the Sharks a run for their money right now.

Ya iPads suck, what can I say.

It is only a 48 game season. 1 win after 10% of the season doesn't bode well for this team.

I can understand if you're down by one, but not by 2...not with the Flames team we saw in the last 10 minutes of the game.

I don't think I've seen such a misleading final score ever. I didn't feel like the Avs were really a threat to win at any point in this game. I guess somebody wins the lottery every once in a while.

Just like the beginning of last season, Tanguay getting points doesn't mean Tanguay is playing well, at least in my opinion. Him forcing passes has resulted in costly turnovers, he needs to be smarter.

Correct, but 1-3-1 is an overall team issue. You can always key on the one or two things that turn the tide of the game, but that's just how sports work. Tonight it was the goal tending, it'll be something else next time, and something else the time after that. That's how it usually goes when you're not good enough.

Way too many chances for Colorado in the slot. The Flames need to cover the slot better and clear out the front of the net.
