I think I might be taking it back, though. At first I was in love, but now I'm getting to know her a bit better I don't think it's going to work out.

Well sorta... I knew I wanted it, then the opportunity came up a couple days after.
The lens performed so well during your shoot, I just had to have it.

Rasta masta, don't sell it yet. Looks like we have a couple of people interested in a CP cruise. You should join.

Though it won't be long until those two lenses turn into the holy trinity.

Haha, yeah for sure. But I don't think I would trade the 16-35mm for the 14-24mm. Just not really practical or necessary for what I do. Don't really care about the speed, because I'm never shooting handheld anyways. So far, I'm blown away by the 16-35 - sharp everywhere at every stop. Distortion is very easy to correct. How do you like the 14-24mm?
The other two are drool-worthy, but I'd probably rather go with a couple of primes and a 24mm tilt shift first. ####'s expensive though... haha

I've owned these wide angles on my D80 / D90:
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
Nikkor 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5
And these on my D800
Nikkor 20mm f/2.8
Nikkor 16-35mm VR f/4
When it comes to sharpness and overall performance, none of them were in the same league as the 14-24mm. I never thought that I'd actually own that premier lens (plus the 24-70mm), it's only been a week or so since and I still drool a bit when I look at it.
