Or that Jimmy Ray guy. Remember that song?
"Are you stingray? Are you Jimmy Ray? Who wants to know?"

Spin Doctors.
They charted with "Two Princes" plus "Jimmy Olson Blues (Pocketful of Krytonite)" plus "Little Miss Can't be Wrong."

This is quickly going from a "favorite one hit wonder" thread to a "name lame one-hit wonders".
Not that it's a bad thing. For example, I'll name the Crash Test Dummies and that gawdamn Superman song. Certainly not my favorite. Perhaps my most hated, actually.
Another one is that BranVan3000 and the "what the hell am I doing drinking in LA".
Taking it back old school -- Debarge had a big hit in the 80's. Can't remember the song, but with that haircut he had just a very small window.

It bugs me that the only Soul Asylum song they play on the radio anymore is Runaway Train, even though they had a string of top ten hits. But then, the only thing they play on the radio anymore is any given bands bigest hit.

El Debarge had a few hits:
Rhythm of the Night
Who's Holding Donna Now (I think, the gril's name might be wrong)
and Who's Johnny?
Crash Test Dummies actually also had a number of hits:
MMM MMM MMMM (or whatever that was called)
Androgenous
few others
Other great one hit wanders from the best decade of them all - the 80s:
Da Da Da: Trio
99 Red Balloons: Nena
Pass the Cutchie: Musical Youth
Voices Carry: Til Tuesday
Somebody's Watching Me: Rockwell
The 80s was chalk full of one hit wonder goodness!

Extreme also had "Hole Hearted" whos video featured a cameo by the one and only Cam Neely.
Alien Ant Farm should have had annother hit with "These Days", but it never caught on. If you get a chance, take a listen to that diddy. You may remember the video where they hijacked the red carpet at the Source or Soul Train awards from the building across the street. IIRC it was also featured in NHL 2004.
The one true One Hit Wonder I like is "Stay" by Shakespears Sister. I don't know why, but that song has stayed at the top of my list of favourite song for a while. I'm a sucker for a good power ballads, like "Bother" by Stone Sour (another one hit wonder), and "One Thing" by arguable one hit woneder Finger Eleven (not withstanding their history as Rainbow Buttmonkey).
I did buy Blind Melon's second album, the one that was just released before Shannon Hoon took his life. I don't remember the song title, but I remember the video where they were riding in a convertable, almost like "Scar Tissue" by the Peppers (not a one hit wonder), but more psycho.
Oh, and then there was "I Wish" by SkeeLo... 'Nuff said.

In a non-musical vein, can Steve Moore be classified as a "one hit wonder"?

Aqua - Barbie Girl...
Although there was that song Dr. Jones later.... how the hell do I know that?
The Fat guy that did that song about everything being bazarre everything that wasn't really bazarre was.
The Archies.... Man I thought they would be something some day. To bad Reggie Turned out to be such a jackass and Archies lady charm eventally translated into him picking up hookers and using blow.
Did anyone mention She Blinded Me With Science by the British guy.

The Butthole Surfers were not really in a genre where they could expect to get a lot of radio play, so even though they only had 1 top 40 hit, I wouldn't count them as a one hit wonder.
If you stayed up late and watched videos, or listened to the right stations, they had at least a few popular songs.

No. He was a bona-fide 2 hit wonder. Although the one on Naslund is overshadowed by the biggest hit from Bertuzzi.

Weren't "Drag You Down" and "Suffocate" also hits? I thought they were bigger than One Thing.
