BBC Sport Chief Football Writer Phil McNulty at the Emirates
Arsenal 0-1 Liverpool
"Liverpool lead 1-0 - and quite frankly Arsenal should be delighted with that. It would insult schoolboys to suggest the Gunners have been defending like schoolboys."

Hey Arsene, BUY SOME GOD DAMN QUALITY LEFT & RIGHT BACKS!!!

Santos is pitiful. Gibbs will never stay healthy. Sanga looks like a shell of his old self. Jenkinson is....well a few years away.

It's almost embarrassing to watch week after week.

Porto are trolling Spurs now

the deal in the summer was held up by the money owed to the 3rd party investors, who demanded more at the last minute

now this gets out with 18 hours to go till the deadline

FC Porto have spent €3.3m buying 15% of Joao Moutinho's transfer rights from 3rd party investors. #FCP #THFC
The transaction values Moutinho at €22million

It was actually a deserved and much needed point for Norwich, but I'm obviously disappointed that they didn't get all three. But there was definitely more jump in Norwich's step than a few of the recent embarrassments. It will be interesting to see how they do against a slightly improved of late QPR on the weekend.

I think Jenkinson is getting to the point where a new addition might be a hindrance to his development. Wegner should probably consider sitting Sagna for a couple of matches in favour of giving Carl a run. On the other flank, we need some quality coverage. Maybe Diaby has skewed my definition of what a crock is but Gibbs has fared better this season with injuries and Wegner obviously isn't ready to give up on him. Consequently, he should probably buy a leftback that is more of a stay-at-home fullback that can still get minutes über defensive matches when Gibbs is healthy.

In regards to the centrebacks, I was thinking that they were good defenders just engaging in poor defending (i.e. silly/careless mistakes) but when you make these many mistakes it might be down to the fact that you are indeed a poor defender.

Eden Hazard: Ban to remain at three games

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard's punishment for kicking out at a Swansea ball boy will not be increased from the standard three-match ban for violent conduct.

Did Roy get canned already? Don't see 7 Liverpool guys shoehorned in there so can't imagine he is still picking the team.

Probably would be nice to see some young talent in there for a friendly rather than retreads like Gerrard, Rooney, Cole, Milner Lampard.

Gotta have some young talent first. Carl Jenkinson didnt make the team.
