I'm just going off of what countless other people say about him. I don't know how that's confusing for you to understand. If that many people say nothing but good things about a person, I tend to believe it's true. Just because I haven't met a person, it doesn't mean I can't reiterate what others have said.

They've been content to swallow the story because there is no story and people have lost interest. It has nothing to do with Te'os PR camp as you always refer to. They've sat back and let the story play itself out.

It is when they're walk on players. There are 125 players or sometimes more (if you're in the SEC) on a football team. When a Senior captain tries to learn the names of the walk ons and get to know them more, it just shows you a little of what kind of person Te'o is. That's all I was getting at

Where have you been? See this is a prime example of what I'm talking about when people only want to hear and believe what they want to. Hence my example of people burying their heads in the sand. I can see if there was no evidence to support Manti and I just kept saying no, there's no way he was involved, I know this guy he wouldn't do this etc. All I'm doing is following the story since it initially came out and letting the evidence speak for itself.

With all the evidence that has come out, which Deadspin failed to report in their initial article before exposing a high profile athlete without getting any facts beforehand, it's amazing to me that people still believe that he was involved in this.

You want the evidence, here it is.

Phone records, the flower receipt, the hoaxers re-contacting Te'o in December, the hoaxers pretending to be in Miami, the confessions of multiple individuals who spoke with 'Lennay' on the phone, the numerous people who saw Te'o deal with the phone call of Lennay's death, the emergence of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo's cousin as the voice behind Lennay, all the recorded messages from the fake Kekua and the fact that this Tuiasosopo loser has come out and said that he did dupe Te'o and several others as well. The guy is going on Dr. Phil and confessing to the whole thing.

I highly doubt this is Te'os PR camp concocting all this evidence up into exonerating him from all these allegations as you allege to be true.

I guarantee you though that if all the evidence was the complete opposite and it actually gave proof that Te'o was involved in this, nobody would be supporting this guy, including me. I'm just going off of all the information that's come out and I'm shocked that others haven't done the same thing. I understand people have their doubts because to them, nobody could possibly be that naive. But for some idiots to still think that he was involved in this whole thing is just ridiculous.

I get your schtick though. It doesn't matter what myself or anybody else for that matter says to you, you're set in your ways and have already come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what new type of evidence comes out, it's all BS and all stirred up from Te'os PR camp. You believe what you want to believe. Until something else comes out incriminating Te'o, my stance on this will not change.

I'm done with this story and have been for a while now. The guy was duped, he lied about it and when he found out, did the same thing most of us would do in his position had we been fooled. Is he a terrible person who is a big time liar? No. Too naive and trustworthy? Absolutely.

The story is dead because it is boring and not much new is going to be learned about it.

Te'o was an idiot who fell for a dumb plan and then was scummy enough to lie about it for his own gain after finding out it was a lie.

There isn't much more interesting things to come out since it is already clear the guy is a moron and a selfish jerk.

Gay cover up becoming the overwhelming favorite now...

Quote:
In an interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo admits that, from his perspective, the relationship with T’eo was romantic.

“Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love,’’ McGraw told NBC’s Today. “I asked him straight up, ‘Was this a romantic relationship with you?’ And he says yes. I said, ‘Are you then therefore gay?’ And he said, ‘When you put it that way, yes.’ And then he caught himself and said, ‘I am confused.’’’

Join the crowd, Ronaiah.

Tuiasosopo said that T’eo was “absolutely, unequivocally” not involved in the hoax.

Most bizarre sports story in the past decade, maybe ever. The Barret Robbins going AWOL in 2002 is up there but this one is just straight up weird.

Moon's comment followed directly by Senator Clay Davis' comment is too good.

You know once Dr. Phil gets involved, the story has gone completely off the rails.

Tons of credit to Brady Hoke for being ahead of the curve.

Quote:
The Michigan football team held a recent meeting to discuss the potential pitfalls of social media. The program hired an outside consultant to speak to the players about appropriate online behavior.

The Wolverines have held such meetings before. But this one was a little different.

They "catfished" their own players.

"Before he came in, we gave him 20 Facebook accounts of guys on our team," coach Brady Hoke said earlier this month while speaking with hundreds of the state's high school football coaches. "He had his assistant -- she tried to talk to our guys. 'Hey, what are ya doin'?' Whatever it might be.

"Well, two months later we're in a team meeting and we're on the topic of what you put out there in the cyber universe ... you should have seen 115 guys when that young lady -- she was hot, now; a very, very nice looking young lady -- when she walked into that meeting room, and the guys looking at each other.

"Because some of them didn't use their heads when communicating back and forth with that young lady."

Michigan has educated its players on social media for years, but this was a new way to drive home the potential trappings of online networking.
And, sure enough, it wasn't much longer before Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o would bring "catfishing" into the national conscious.
